Les infections liées aux soins sont un problème majeur en santé publique. Des recommandations datant de 2007 sont faites concernant l’hygiène au cabinet médical par la Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS). Notre enquête évalue leur application en Ile de France (N=60) afin d’aider à les prévenir. Elle souligne les points d’hygiène qui pourront être améliorés. La campagne d’information pendant l’épidémie de grippe A (H1N1), a permis d’augmenter le lavage des mains. 90% des médecins généralistes répondent se les laver ou utiliser une solution hydro-alcoolique entre chaque patient. Durant les 5 dernières années précédant notre étude seulement 11.6% des médecins ont été formés à l’hygiène. Les mesures de prévention et d’hygiène dans les cabinets de médecine générale ne sont pas optimales, elles peuvent être améliorées en utilisant les différents protocoles disponibles: stérilisation, élimination des déchets, Accident d’exposition au sang (AES) et en connaissant mieux les principes d’antisepsie.
