N 0 severe storms of any nature occurred. Some damage resulted from wind and sand storms, which in March cut off young alfalfa plants in early spring plantings on loose soils. The growing season Opened rather late, and cold nights through April and early May retarded the growth of the cotton to some extent. Table I briefly summarizes the climatological observations recorded at the experiment farm during 1913, together with the weather conditions recorded in the 4-year period during which observations have been made.
