Book Description
What's special about Oneness Pentecostals? In this penetrating analysis of Oneness theology and practice, Gregory Boyd reveals the experience of four years of personal involvement in a Oneness church. Although Oneness Pentecostals' belief in Christ's deity establishes some common ground with other Christians, their aggressive denial of the Trinity has nonetheless fostered their indisputably sub-Christian ideas about God's character, about salvation, and about Christian living.

Book Description
The following dissertation concerning the Trinity, as the reader ought to be informed, has been written in order to guard against the sophistries of those who disdain to begin with faith, and are deceived by a crude and perverse love of reason. Now one class of such men endeavor to transfer to things incorporeal and spiritual the ideas they have formed, whether through experience of the bodily senses, or by natural human wit and diligent quickness, or by the aid of art, from things corporeal; so as to seek to measure and conceive of the former by the latter. Book Description
From atheism and agnosticism to Trinitarian Christianity which itself is not rooted in the simple faith of the one true God of the Bible - J. Dan Gill meets all of these candidly and head on. He asks, "Why do most Christians not even know the Shema - the amazing biblical creed about God which was given by Moses, affirmed by Jesus and is spoken in synagogues to this day?" J. Dan challenges Christians to by-pass centuries of their own religious traditions and discover anew the God of Jesus.

Book Description
The Revelatory Name of God examines how God used his name as a form of self-discosure in the Old Testament. Originally, the revelation of God's proper name (YWHH) was bequeathed to the Nation of Israel just prior to their deliverance from Egyptian bondage (Exodus 3:13-15). Scripture clearly demonstrates the Nation of Israel treasured and used the name of God (YHWH). In fact, the name was liturgically placed upon them by the priesthood (Num. 6:22-27); thus, they were a people of the name. As great as the national revelation of God's name was--the Bible foretells of a universal revelation of God's name wherein the Gentiles become partakers of the benefits of the name of God. Yet, unlike the first revelation given through a burning bush--the Bible reveals God would personify His name in a human being prophetically known as The BRANCH. YHWH fulfilled this promise in the person and name of JESUS--the Branch who is both a genuine human and Yahweh manifest in flesh (Isa. 11:1-2, 10; Jer. 23:5-6). Jesus is not simply the name of a human being but is etymologically linked to the memorial name of Exodus 3:15. The early church recognized the memorial name of Exodus 3:15 was personified in the person and name of Jesus--the name encompassing and superseding the Tetragrammaton. I invite you to join me in a powerful study of the Name of God than can potentially change you life....It certainly did mine and I've never regretted it!

Book Description
A constructive study of Trinitarian theology that aims to clarify our knowledge of the triune God by rightly ordering the theological language we use to praise him. The Triune God reaches its conclusions about how this doctrine should be handled on the basis of the way the Trinity was revealed. As such, theologian Fred Sanders: Invites a doxological invitation to the reader to contemplate the mystery of the Trinity. Establishes the biblical exposition and draws the doctrinal implications from it. Offers dogmatic principles for Trinitarian exegesis. Though Sanders does interact with major voices from the history of doctrine—and his arguments are indebted to and informed by the great tradition of Trinitarianism—he is clear throughout that Trinitarianism is a gift of revelation before it is an achievement of the church. The most patristic way to proceed toward a well-ordered doctrine of the Trinity is, after all, to study Scripture. -ABOUT THE SERIES- New Studies in Dogmatics seeks to retrieve the riches of Christian doctrine for the sake of contemporary theological renewal. Following in the tradition of G. C. Berkouwer's Studies in Dogmatics, this series provides thoughtful, concise, and readable treatments of major theological topics, expressing the biblical, creedal, and confessional shape of Christian doctrine for a contemporary evangelical audience. The editors and contributors share a common conviction that the way forward in constructive systematic theology lies in building upon the foundations laid in the church's historic understanding of the Word of God as professed in its creeds, councils, and confessions, and by its most trusted teachers.

Book Description
What can the early church contribute to theology today? Donald Fairbairn takes us back to the biblical roots and central convictions of the early church, showing us what we have tended to overlook, especially in our understanding of God as Trinity, the person of Christ and the nature of our salvation as sharing in the Son's relationship to the Father.
