We may add; that whoever reads it with attention, and confiders the infant Rate of Englilh poetry at the time it was written (fome years before the appearance of Shakefpeare), mull allow, that it merited the pains taken by P0pe and Spence to retrieve it from obli vion, which they effected, by recommending it to: the manager of Drury-lane theatre in 1736, where it had a great run; and the fame year Mr. Spence publifhed a new edition, which is the heft.
