The Bahurutshe explores the history, culture and religion of the Bahurutse in the North-West Province of South Africa. The historical dates, facts, and events of Batswana are informed by verbal tradition. This information attains greater transparancy when the chiefs admit European missionaries into their midst. Parcel of Death recounts the little-told life story of Onkgopotse Abram Tiro, the first South African freedom fighter the apartheid regime pursued beyond the country’s borders to assassinate with a parcel bomb. On 29 April 1972, Tiro made one of the most consequential revolutionary addresses in South African history.
