Book Description
Requirements for Maintenance of Inspections, Tests, Analyses, and Acceptance Criteria (US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Regulation) (NRC) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Requirements for Maintenance of Inspections, Tests, Analyses, and Acceptance Criteria (US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Regulation) (NRC) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the Commission) is amending its regulations related to verification of nuclear power plant construction activities through inspections, tests, analyses, and acceptance criteria (ITAAC) under a combined license, and issuing a revision to Regulatory Guide (RG) 1.215, "Guidance for ITAAC Closure Under 10 CFR [Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations] Part 52." The final rule contains new provisions that apply after a licensee has completed an ITAAC and submitted an ITAAC closure notification. The new provisions require licensees to report new information materially altering the basis for determining that inspections, tests, or analyses were performed as required, or that acceptance criteria are met, and to notify the NRC of the completion of all ITAAC activities. In addition, the NRC is including editorial corrections to existing language in the NRC's regulations to make that language consistent with language in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (AEA). Regulatory Guide 1.215 describes a method that the staff of the NRC considers acceptable for use in satisfying the requirements for documenting the completion of ITAAC. This book contains: - The complete text of the Requirements for Maintenance of Inspections, Tests, Analyses, and Acceptance Criteria (US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Regulation) (NRC) (2018 Edition) - A table of contents with the page number of each section

Author: U.s. Nuclear Reglatory Commission
Publisher: CreateSpace
ISBN: 9781499650679
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 212
Book Description
The staff of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is issuing Revision 2 to the NUREG-1482, “Guidelines for Inservice Testing at Nuclear Power Plants,” to assist the nuclear industry in establishing a basic understanding of the regulatory basis for pump and valve inservice testing (IST) programs and dynamic restraint (snubbers) examination and testing programs. This NUREG also provides information regarding the NRC's involvement in the development of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code for Operation and Maintenance of Nuclear Power Plants (OM Code). In this NUREG, the staff discusses OM Code inquiries, the inservice examination and testing of snubbers, pump and valve IST, the use of ASME code cases, conditions on the use of the OM Code, guidance for OM Code noncompliance, requests for alternatives to the OM Code at operating commercial nuclear power plants, and the development of IST programs for new reactors*.
