Book Description
The Gospel of John as a Soul's Journey is a commentary on the Gospel of the Beloved Disciple from a psychological standpoint. It is a continuation of ideas of the Episcopal minister and psychiatrist, John A Sanford, who wrote "Mystical Christianity". This book sees John's Gospel not as history, but as most scholars see it, as a symbolic story. It goes farther from the conventional view, however, in that it sees the sequence of events in the Gospel as a guide for everyone in their journey in life. This commentary goes beyond the concept which John Sanford developed, that the Jews in the Gospel represents the human ego. It also sees Jesus, whose name means, "Savior" not as the historical figure, but as the force in everyone's life which wants to save them to a higher form of existence. William Fairbanks is a retired computer programmer who has taken up writing. He was brought up in the Methodist tradition and was named after a grandfather who was a superintendent of Sunday Schools for many years. His mother was active in her church, teaching Sunday School for many years. He himself wasn't active in religious activities until the age of forty when he had a mystical experience. He was saw in the sky what is known as the Cross of Constantine, as the Emperor Constantine saw the same thing at a decisive time in his life. Since that time he has devoted much time and effort in the study of the Bible and participation in group study. He has written one other book on the Bible "Personal Wellness through the Old Testament".

Book Description
When personal life splinters from professional life, as it does for so many people today, we often hold forth a vision of human life, in which everything fits together: work, family, community, and the common good. Organizational leaders love this dream, because, frankly, when people bring their whole selves to work, they are more productive. What's good for the company, in this case, looks to be good for the staff member, too. And that's no small accomplishment in a time when pandemic and racial inequity have made organizational leadership so economically and socially challenging. But all too often, this dream of holistic living and work relies too heavily upon the inner resources of individuals. The result is burnout, as leaders grow fatigued and team members feel manipulated. This book's research among social entrepreneurs--with close attention to the experience of entrepreneurs of color--suggests that workplace communities have the economic and social resources needed for commonwealth. But the goods remain latent. Instead of obsessing about what individual inwardness can do, we should catalyze those latent resources. This book shows leaders how to start new conversations and tell new stories in order to cultivate spiritual capital and activate those latent goods.

Book Description
What Would Moses Say? is a carefully researched and crafted book. The author began with the premise that Moses's Law, in fact, much of Old Testament history, is nonbinding for today's believer. Her journey and findings brought a surprising revelation that all of God's word is useful for our spiritual growth. As she explored each of the Ten Commandments, the truth became even more clear. The moral principles that God had established as a standard for the Israelites still hold true for today. In fact, as society continues to break down with prevailing lawlessness, there has never been a better time than now to address our application of God's commandments. Could it be that a careless disregard for the obsolete law is the reason for the lukewarm state of many believers in the twenty-first century? Decreased church attendance, high divorce rates, disobedient children, loss of young adults to secular pursuits, and an absence of God's name in day-to-day conversation all characterize the problem. Could it be that good people who call themselves Christian could benefit from a deeper look at the Ten Commandments? According to the findings, the answer is yes! The evidence points to the need for a new or renewed relationship with God's appointed head of the church, Jesus Christ. There cannot be any substantial law keeping in the absence of the lawgiver. We must first love God (the first commandment) before we can love others. The worldliness of today's church has impacted Christianity as we know it. There is no other answer than to be unique and separate. This book was written for readers in all stages of their spiritual journey. It promises to be interesting, challenging, enlightening, and instructional. Use it for personal reading or a group study.

Book Description
Does the Lord still heal the sick? If so, why doesn’t He heal every person every time? And does it hinder a believer’s faith to see doctors or take medicine? These and many other questions related to divine healing are answered in this illuminating book. Through testimonies of healings—his own, some he witnessed, and those found in Scripture—Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart reveals how the promises of God, perseverance, and properly placed faith operated in the lives of those who were miraculously healed by the power of God and heard those precious words, “Thy faith hath made thee whole.”
