Ce travail porte sur les conseils pratiques en aromathérapie à l'officine à l'aide de fiches pratiques réalisées sur la base de pathologies vues couramment au comptoir et permettant d'aider l'équipe officinale à diriger sa délivrance. Les plantes aromatiques sont utilisées depuis des millénaires. Au fur et à mesure du temps, l'utilisation des huiles essentielles s'est élargie pour découvrir enfin leur mode d'action grâce à une action directe et deux actions indirectes, notamment par l'olfaction. Pour avoir un bon conseil en aromathérapie, il est important de connaitre les voies d'administration et les particularités de certains patients tels que les enfants, les femmes enceintes, les patients épileptiques et asthmatiques. De plus, la connaissance des huiles végétales permet un meilleur conseil pour la voie cutanée. Enfin, la connaissance des familles biochimiques nous donne une meilleure vue d'ensemble pour chaque huile essentielle et ainsi permet de savoir quelle molécule est impliquée pour une pathologie donnée. Il existe également des risques de confusions pour certaines huiles essentielles alors que leur profil biochimique est différent. Pour la réalisation des fiches pratiques, nous nous sommes limités à 37 huiles essentielles vues couramment à l'officine, ce qui permet de mieux les connaitre et de ne pas se disperser pendant la dispensation. Pour chaque pathologie, au moins deux huiles essentielles ont été choisies permettant ainsi une synergie d'action, et une alternative est choisie au cas où l'huile essentielle ne serait pas disponible à l'officine.

Moving beyond an analysis of fat oppression as singular, this book will aim to unpack the volatility of fat—the mutability of fat embodiments as they correlate with other embodied subjectivities, and the threshold where fat begins to be reviled, celebrated, or amended. In addition, Thickening Fat explores the full range of intersectional and liminal analyses that push beyond the simple addition of two or more subjectivities, looking instead at the complex alchemy of layered and unstable markers of difference and privilege. Cognizant that the concept of intersectionality has been filled out in a plurality of ways, Thickening Fat poses critical questions around how to render analysis of fatness intersectional and to thicken up intersectionality, where intersectionality is attenuated to the shifting and composite and material dimensions to identity, rather than reduced to an “add difference and stir” approach.
