It explores the legal value and enforceability of tax circulars and tax rulings in Luxembourg domestic law in light of the principle of legitimate expectations and related principles. After studying the historical roots of both interpretative acts, this research questions the level of protection taxpayers enjoy when relying on circulars and tax rulings and contains a review of decades of administrative case-law to assess the judicial discourse on taxpayers’ rights to certainty. This book deals with a subject little studied to this day, namely his thoughts on the Church. Yet it is a recurring subject in his works, where he reflects at length on the Church from the point of view of the being and the mission of the divine Logos. The aim of this publication is to clarify the relationships between material restoration and politics in Italian Renaissance art. The focus of this research is on the question of origin as a foothold for political, patrimonial, and cultural identity. These claims were enacted within a system which, rather than restoring the initial forms and meanings of existing objects, remodeled the past according to new identity requirements: spaces were reorganized, and works of art invested with new meanings.
