Liabilities may be joint or several, or joint and several. In Contract.--Where the liability be joint, each defendant is personally responsible for the whole liability, but all defendants may be sued. Where the liability is several, any or all the parties may be joined as co-defendants, or, if dead, their executors or administrators.
