Restaurar la unidad se ha convertido en la mayor asignatura pendiente de resolver por la Iglesia Universal. Recibida desde un principio como mandato del mismo Jesucristo, no pasó mucho tiempo para que innumerables conflictos y tensiones desde los todos los ámbitos sociales, políticos o teológicos fueran quebrando su integridad y produciendo heridas tan profundas que se han transmitido de generación en generación, actualmente sin vías de encontrar una solución definitiva que pueda satisfacer a todos. Del mismo modo, a este movimiento de dispersión le han seguido multitud de esfuerzos por mantener y recuperar la unidad, especialmente desde finales del siglo XIX con el Movimiento Ecuménico, que recoge las legítimas aspiraciones de Iglesias y Comunidades para que desde una visión lo más unitaria posible ninguna pierda su propio valor e identidad. En esta su primera obra, el autor (Mérida, España. 1974- ) recopila desde una perspectiva católica los fundamentos filosóficos y teológicos que empujaron en la Iglesia a su progresiva disgregación, proponiendo distintas nociones que ayuden a reintegrar la revelación cristiana en el mundo moderno uniendo ciencia y metafísica, lo natural y lo trascendente, bajo una misma Creación de Dios. Y con el mismo fundamento examinar los distintos actos en Iglesias y comunidades eclesiales como posibles vertientes de una misma realidad, que es el Ser de Dios, desde aquellos elementos establecidos por la Iglesia desde su fundación: La apostolicidad, la sacramentalidad y una misma confesión de fe. Todo ello expresado en un tono pastoral y divulgativo, invitando a los cristianos a abandonar sus prejuicios por la unidad desde una oblación particular donde todo arrepentimiento pueda ser reconciliado con Dios, echando fuera a lo demás. El libro se acompaña de un índice de notas al pie y una completa bibliografía.
