(1) dated November 24, 1876; discusses Ingleby's chapter on "The portraiture of Shakespeare" and the Stratford Bust; (2) dated July 14, 1879 ; mentions the Epitome; discusses a portrait of Shakespeare and the idea that it may be a portrait of Ben Jonson. Phillipps (né Halliwell) in the "Shakespearean Library" of J. Parker Norris, from The daily evening telegraph, Philadelphia, dated Monday, November 17, 1873. "With compliments of J.
