Book Description
L'ETUDE DES STRUCTURES FORMEES DE BARRES COMPOSITES EST COMPLIQUEE A CAUSE DES OSCILLATIONS DES COEFFICIENTS. L'OBJECTIF EST DE DONNER LE COMPORTEMENT ASYMPTOTIQUE DE CES STRUCTURES LORSQUE LES PETITS PARAMETRES LES CARACTERISANT TENDENT VES ZERO. DANS LA PREMIERE PARTIE, LES BARRES CONSIDEREES SONT NON SYMETRIQUES, LEUR ETUDE EST PLUS DIFFICILE. NOUS CONSTRUISONS UN DEVELOPPEMENT DE LA SOLUTION ET NOUS OBTENONS DES EQUATIONS HOMOGENEISEES UNIDIMENSIONNELLES DONT ON MONTRE LA POSITIVITE ET ON CALCULE NUMERIQUEMENT LES COEFFICIENTS. DES ESTIMATIONS D'ERREUR PERMETTENT LA JUSTIFICATION DE L'ASPECT ASYMPTOTIQUE DE L'APPROXIMATION. LA DEUXIEME PARTIE EST CONSACREE AU PROBLEME DE JONCTIONS DE BARRES DONT LES COEFFICIENTS NE SONT PAS DE LA MEME GRANDEUR. UN AUTRE PARAMETRE INTERVIENT DANS L'ETUDE ASYMPTOTIQUE. NOUS CONSTRUISONS UN DEVELOPPEMENT A L'INTERIEUR ET DES COUCHES LIMITES POUR CORRIGER LES CONDITIONS AUX BORDS.

Book Description
Preface Adhesion is a phenomenon architects and civil engineers are not very familiar with. In other disciplines knowledge about surface properties and the background of bonding energies is also far from satisfactory; nevertheless there are many important· applications in concrete engineering, where adhesion is necessary for success and durability. These include: - coating and painting - repair of concrete surfaces - bonding of fresh to old concrete - crack injection - glueing of precast elements - glueing of steel to concrete, etc. In 1981 RILEM established the technical committee 52-RAC 'Resin Adherence to Concrete'. The main aims of the committee's work were - to collect research results and practical experiences - to initiate and coordinate research programs - to develop, on a scientific base, test methods for field and for laboratory purposes. One of the results of the committee's work is a state-of-the-art report, which will be presented orally as a General Report at the International Symposium ISAP '86, and will be printed either in the RILEM journal Materials and Structures or separately. Several test recommendations have been elaborated and will be prepared as drafts for the participants ofISAP '86. These are: - direct tensile test - pull-off test - direct shear test - slant shear test - four-point bending test - dynamic loading test - thermal compatibility test (two versions) - injectibility test.

Book Description
"This collection is a much-needed remedy to the confusion about which varieties of enactivism are robust yet viable rejections of traditional representationalism approaches to cognitivism – and which are not. Hutto's paper is the pivot around which the expert commentators, enactivists and non-enactivists alike, sketch out the implications of enactivism for a wide variety of issues: perception, emotion, the theory of content, cognition, development, social interaction, and more. The inclusion of thoughtful replies from Hutto gives the volume a further degree of depth and integration often lacking in collections of essays. Anyone interested in assessing the current cutting-edge developments in the embodied and situated sciences of the mind will want to read this book."Ron Chrisley, University of Sussex, UK

Book Description
Agricultural English is a collection of essays on the English of Agriculture. The approach is a linguistic one: the different aspects of the English used in the field of agriculture (agricultural practices, agricultural systems) and in some fields related to agriculture (agricultural zoology, agri-tourism, biology, botany, ecology, entomology, gastronomy, land measurement, plant pathology, zoology) are analysed from a morphological (combination, derivation), syntactical (nominal phrases, verbal phrases), lexical and lexicographical, semantic (homonymy, semantic fields, synonymy, terminology), pragmatic (academic discourse, idiom, metaphor), etymological (etymon, Latin heritage), and contrastive (English–Croatian, English–French, English–German, English–Romanian, Romanian–English) points of view. The book will appeal to agriculturists, animal breeders, professors, researchers, students, and translators from Croatian-, English-, French-, German-, and Romanian-speaking countries, active in their own countries or abroad. The types of academic readership it would appeal to include academic teaching staff, researchers and students in the fields of agriculture and related fields – agricultural zoology, agri-tourism, biology, botany, ecology, entomology, gastronomy, land measurement, plant pathology, and zoology.
