Book Description
Further research into Middle America bigfoot sightings indicates a strong connection between bigfoot and Native Americans, and witness descriptions show a strong human likeness. The latest research from the author of the groundbreaking The Hoopa Project: Bigfoot Encounters in California named 2008 Bigfoot Book of the Year by Cryptomundo.com. Dave Paulides brings his law-enforcement investigative and analytical skills to an expanded area of research: the counties in Northern California that have reported the greatest numbers of bigfoot occurrences, and beyond to Minnesota and Oklahoma. Gaining access to many people who have never discussed their bigfoot experiences publicly before now, the author obtains intriguing details that broaden our perception of the elusive creature; and his subsequent analysis leads to the discovery of a strong and consistent link between bigfoot and the Native American community. The expert interview and artistic skills of forensic artist Harvey Pratt help to define the creatures described by the witnesses - - once again with astonishing and illuminating results. The presentation of startling new forensic evidence indicates that there truly is an as-yet-unidentified primate living in the wilds of North America, and the author hints at new data on the horizon that will finally provide the tantalizing truth about the existence of bigfoot in North America.

Book Description
"At the time when I saw two suns in the sky, I received a warning about two waves that would bring destruction to this place where I have left this warning." In the year AD 1054, a wise man from the Chaco Society scratched an ominous warning in rock art. More than a thousand years later, twenty-six-year-old tribal archaeologist Jon Two-Bears and professor Pamela Parker team up on a dig in the west end of the Grand Canyon. To their surprise, they uncover what appears to be an ancient warning. It predicts there will be a huge landslide in the narrows of Lake Mead that will send a freshwater tsunami downstream eighteen miles--wiping out the Hoover Dam. The inland tsunami will continue south, destroying everything in its path to the Gulf of California. Due to the seismic activity that is taking place in the Lake Mead area, it's obvious that this ancient prophecy is about to become a reality. Jon and Pamela make a valiant effort to convince people to flee to higher ground before the killer waves wipe out large areas of the southwestern United States. Will the warnings be heeded? Or will millions become victims of the tsunami twins?

Book Description
In this landmark work on a subject too often dismissed as paranormal or disreputable, Jeff Meldrum gives us the first book on sasquatch to be written by a scientist with impeccable academic credentials, an objective look at the facts in a field mined with hoaxes and sensationalism. Meldrum reports on the work of a team of experts from a wide variety of fields who were assembled to examine the evidence for a large, yet undiscovered, North American primate. He reviews the long history of this mystery--which long predates the "bigfoot" flap of the late fifties--and explains all the scientific pros and cons in a clear and accessible style, amplified by over 150 illustrations. Anyone who has pondered the mysteries of human evolution will be fascinated and eager to join Dr. Meldrum in drawing their own conclusion. Book Description
This collection of essays considers the role of spirituality and religion in the lives of American women from various ethnic backgrounds, showing how faith empowers those in populations often marginalized in the United States. Religion and spirituality are sources of strength and resilience for many women, particularly ethnically diverse women. This thought-provoking text examines this psychological trend, exploring the specific ways in which women from diverse backgrounds have benefited from their faith traditions, the various spiritual pathways they have chosen, and the impact of those choices on their lives. Essays in this informative compilation show how women from African American, Latina, American Indian, Asian American, and Caucasian backgrounds recover from difficulties and traumas with the help of their faith. Contributors consider why women are more likely to endorse religious engagement than men; why ethnically marginalized women tap into spirituality for comfort more than any other population; and why many believers embrace religion as a coping mechanism throughout their lives—from adolescence to older adulthood. The work suggests ways for counselors, leaders, and religious figures to utilize this knowledge to bolster the well-being of those they serve.

Book Description
This essential reference work enables a deeper understanding of contemporary challenges in the lives of American Indians and Alaskan Natives today, carefully reviewing their unique problems and proposing potential solutions. American Indians face problems in their lives on a daily basis that most other Americans never contend with, and their challenges—which in some cases are similar to those of other minority groups in the United States—are still qualitatively unique. American Indians at Risk gives readers a broad overview of what life in Indian country is like, addressing specific contemporary social issues such as alcoholism, unemployment, and suicide. The author goes beyond detailed descriptions of the problems of American Indians to also present solutions, some of which have been effective in addressing these challenges. Each chapter includes a "Further Investigations" section that presents helpful ideas for additional research.

Book Description
Some of you may have noticed that I am not a young man. Once upon a time I was. It is more than 35 years since I first encountered information about what is now known as Bigfoot, 30 years since I began to investigate the phenomenon, and about 29 years since I began a campaign to have it subjected to scientific exploration. On the face of it, this organization and this subject should be a perfect fit. I doubt that there exists any anomaly of as much potential scientific importance that has been so determinedly ignored by the world of science. I understand, however, that most of you are not likely to have paid any attention to it, so with apologies to those who have I am going to begin at the beginning. In British Columbia, where I grew up, stories about hairy forest giants, known there as sasquatch, have been widely publicized since the 1920s. I don't re- member a time when I was not aware of them, but like most city dwellers I considered them to be tall tales, and indeed to some extent they were.
