Abstract: "By representing transition systems as coalgebras, the three main ingredients of their theory: coalgebra, homomorphism, and bisimulation, can be seen to be in a precise correspondence to the basic notions of universal algebra: [sigma]-algebra, homomorphism, and substitutive relation (or congruence).
