Since the Cold War's end and especially in the third millennium, theorists have been exploring the aftermath - and sometimes just the “after” - of whole paradigms, the crisis or “passing” of anthropocentrism, the twilight of an entire ontological and cultural “condition,” as well as the corresponding rise of an antagonist model, of an “anti,” “meta,” or “neo” alternative, with examples ranging from “posthumanism” and “post-postmodernism” to “post-aesthetics,” “postanalog” interpretation or “digicriticism,” “post-presentism,” “post-memory,” “post-“ or “neo-critique,” and so forth. It is no coincidence, the contributors to this volume argue, that this “post” moment is also a time when theory is practiced as a world genre. If theory has always been a “worlded” enterprise, a quintessentially communal, cross-cultural and international project, this is truer at present than ever. Perhaps more than other humanist constituencies, today's theorists work and belong in a theory commons that is transnational if still uneven economically, politically, and otherwise. Theory in the "Post" Era reports the results of Romanian theory experiments that join efforts made in other places to foster a theory for the “post” age.

State formation in post-colonial societies differed greatly from the formation of the Western capitalist state. The latter has been extensively studied, while a coherent grasp of the post-colonial state has remained elusive. Amin-Khan provides a critical historical and contemporary understanding of post-colonial state formations in Asia and Africa, and suggests how this process differed from the formation of states in Latin America. In distinguishing between the post-colonial state and the Western capitalist state, the author argues that the unitary colonial state left a strong legacy on the decolonized states of Asia and Africa, reinscribing their subordination vis-à-vis Western states, transnational corporations and multilateral institutions. The indigenous elites' decision at the time of decolonization to retain colonial state structures meant the readaptation of capitalism-imperialism nexus to suit new post-colonial realities, which enabled the formation of clientelist relationships. This post-colonial reality and exploration of the contemporary context provides the basis of analyzing two post-colonial state forms, the capitalist and proto-capitalist varieties, which are examined using the case studies of India and Pakistan.

Covid-19 outbreak has been the biggest health, social and economic emergency the world has ever faced since the Second World War. It has forced us to take a closer look at our woefully inadequate health infrastructure. Social distancing policies (SDPs), encouraging people to stay home and limit gatherings, impacted wide range of services and industries. The telecommunications infrastructure, in particular, became a spotlight in view of its critical importance to keep businesses, governments, and societies connected and running in the period of economic and social disruption. The governments acknowledged a fact that “telecommunications, internet services, broadcasting, cable services, IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS)” are the essential services. Work from Home (WFH) seemed a positive experience, however with some adverse impact on the social, behavioural and physical factors. ICEIM 2022 is a humble contribution of SPM PDEU in terms of presenting a scholarly platform wherein abundance of ideas, answers, right questions, and complementing new learning’s are expected to emerge. The conference aims at discussing and deliberating various contemporary issues and challenge in the management of energy & infrastructure. The conference showcases seven tracks, five of which are Business & Technology, Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, and Project & Operations Management. Then in view of emerging scenario, two more tracks were added namely, Business Analytics and Data Science, Strategies & Entrepreneurship Management. We do expect to receive 80–90 research papers covering various tracks of the conference.
