Enabling power: Plant Varieties and Seeds Act 1964, ss. 16 (1) (1A) (2) (3), 36. Issued: 10.01.2003. Made: 19.12.2002. Laid before the Scottish Parliament: 23.12.2002. Coming into force: 31.12.2002. for regs. 1, 2 & 01.01.2003. for regs. 3, 4, in accord. with reg. 1 (2). Effect: S.I. 1993/2005, 2009 amended in relation to Scotland & S.S.I. 2002/520 revoked (31.12.2002.). Territorial extent and classification: S. General. With correction slip dated March 2003. EC note: These regs. exempt certain types of seed marketed in bulk from the labelling and packaging requirements in the cereal seeds regs and fodder seeds regs. These are derogation's respectively from Council Directive 66/402/EEC as amended and Council Directive 66/401/EEC as amended. The derogation's are permitted by Council directive 2001/64/EC. The regs specifiy the conditions for the exemption, in implementation of Council Directive 2001/64/EC and Commission Decision 94/650/EC as relevantly amended by Commission Decision 1998/174/EC and 2000/441/EC.This Scottish Statutory Instrument has been made in consequence of defects in S.S.I. 2002/520 and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of that instrument
