The 1960 film 'The Royal Ballet' was directed by Hungarian Paul Czinner, who had achieved succes three years earlier with 'The Bolshoi Ballet'. It was filmed on the stage of London's Covent Garden and included extracts from 'Swan Lake', 'Ondine' and 'The firebird'.
