Book Description
The time was the great rift between fallen angels, as humans; it was the supposed time of the great freedom when there were no rules on earth. And, that time was when earth wasnt even called earth. It was nothing to them and something in the same moment. The fallen angels almost had the same kind of planet, as Aubrahteery, which they gave up. It was warm and lit all the time. There was no darkness, no coldness, and no desolation. Until, their dark hearts took over and began to change their surroundings. What the fallen angels also didnt realize was that their new home verged changing with the reality of the darkness lying in the root of their hearts. The fallen angels didnt realize that darkness and negativity carried a lot more dead weight with it, which is ultimately what forged the slowing planet with all the fallen angels, as humans upon her surface.

Book Description
In this book, Louis C. Jonker considers more sophisticated and nuanced models for applying the heuristic lens of "identity" in the interpretation of the Hebrew Bible book of Chronicles. Not only does he investigate the potential and limitations of different sociological models for this purpose, but the author also provides a more nuanced analysis of the socio-historical context of origin of late Persian-period biblical literature by distinguishing between four levels of socio-historic existence in this period. It is shown that varying power relations were in operation on these different levels which contributed to a multi-levelled process of identity negotiation. Louis C. Jonker shows the value of the chosen methodological approach in his analysis of Chronicles, but also suggests that it holds potential for the investigation of other Hebrew Bible corpora.

Book Description
This volume of collected essays, the first of its kind in any language, investigates the Astronomical Diaries from ancient Babylon, a collection of almost 1000 clay tablets which, over a period of some five hundred years (6th century to 1st century BCE), record observations of selected astronomical phenomena as well as the economy and history of Mesopotamia and surrounding regions. The volume asks who the scholars were, what motivated them to ‘keep watch in Babylon’ and how their approach changed in the course of the collection’s long history. Contributors come from a range of disciplinary backgrounds, including Assyriology, Classics, ancient history, the history of science and the history of religion. "Babylon has always exerted a magical charm on everyone who has been told of its splendour and grandeur. Nobody who has succumbed to this charm, whether he is a layman who just wants to browse a little in his search for old secrets, or a scholar who wants to inform himself about the latest academic research, will be disappointed by this volume." - Erlend Gehlken, Universität Frankfurt/Main, in: Bryn Mawr Classical Review February 2 (2020)

Book Description
This book seeks to trace the notarial history of China from 1902 to 1979. While working on this trailblazing effort, the author taps into a rich variety of artifacts, especially the notarial documents, archived records, manuals and journals from private collection or originally issued by China’s judicial authorities during different periods. No similar book has been published so far. Many of these items are taken from old publications and notarial documents that the author purchased from grass-root vendors. The book complements the text with illustrations, and the descriptions of the same articles are consistent throughout narrative. Even more remarkable is that many rare notarial historical materials in Chinese and foreign languages are available for the first time. This book is a must-read for researchers and students need in their understanding of China’s judicial system or China’s history. It gives a complete introduction to the development and evolution of China’s notarial system, which has great reference value for those who study this subject.

Book Description
Starting with an exegesis of the book of Chronicles as a single corpus, Jozef Tino sees the king-temple relationship as the leitmotiv of Chronicles. He shows that the Chronicler expresses a specific attitude to the kingship ideology and examines the text from the perspective of its relations with the post-exilic theological traditions when only the Temple in Jerusalem was a living institution but the monarchy was a mere memory from the distant past. Thereby this study offers a new perspective on the whole of Chronicles.
