Book Description
Liz, from reading parts of your book before it went to press, I want to tell you: I am honored to know I'll be a small part of it. And I thank you for putting a peanut butter recipe in for me. I wish you the best luck ever with this book, Bill Anderson.I actually wrote this book for the sake of history: The history of my life in the country music world. I didn't want to forget the good times I had in Nashville. I wanted to remember the stories the stars told me, and most of all I wanted to preserve them along with the pictures and all the recipes. I wanted to keep them close. Time goes by fast and many of the country singers we all loved so much were gone by the time I finished this book. I am so happy I wrote it. Now having everything in one book is so wonderful. I can sit down with a cup of hot tea and read and look at the pictures of the country singers while I listen to their songs for hours. Just reading a cookbook is so relaxing and to add the 80 or more pictures plus the stories is like double icing on the cake. Now I want to share the book with the country music fans.Cookbooks have always been the most perfect gift. So, for the Country Music lovers on your list give the gift that never wears out. JAMES BEARD AWARD WINNER • PUBLISHERS WEEKLY BESTSELLER • GOOP COOKBOOK CLUB PICK • NAMED ONE OF THE BEST COOKBOOKS OF THE YEAR BY The New Yorker • Food52 • Library Journal A modern approach to mastering the art of cooking at home from the food editor at large at Bon Appétit, with more than 70 innately flexible recipes. The indispensable recipes and streamlined cooking techniques in Where Cooking Begins are an open invitation to dive into Carla Lalli Music’s laid-back cooking style. The food editor at large at Bon Appétit, her intuitive recipes are inspired by the meals she makes at home for her family and friends and the joy she takes in feeding them.
