I started out at Station 8, and in less than three months I was transferred to Station 1, the Central Station, or headquarters. I worked there for seven years. While at Central Station, I worked relief at every station in the city. After serving seven years at Central Station, I was transferred to Station 7. For fifteen years I was there, it was the busiest station in the city. Most of the incidents come from seven's territory. I spent the remainder of my career at crash fire rescue, protecting lives and aircraft. Every day firefighters put their lives on the line.
