Years ago, the Lord spoke in my heart about three key aspects of our spiritual journey: Mortification. Abandonment. Purity. Together, they abbreviate M.A.P. Thus, the map to follow in our pursuit of holiness. For if we pursue such practice of always seeking God, yielding and laying it down for His glory, we shall then pursue holiness and we shall abide in His glorious presence. We then shall shun evil, for as we abide in His presence, we seek the moral good path of God’s will and truth. We find the world is slipping deeper into decadence, depravity, wickedness, and immorality because we have forsaken God. As we forsake His ways and spiritual laws, we embrace the darkness, and in the darkness, we succumb to spiritual corruption and we are vulnerable to evil inclinations and wicked intent. We are called to abandon all unto His care. To seek holiness. To seek purity. And to surrender it all to His Glory. Yes, we are called to seek moral goodness by seeking God, for without Him, we only find a perilous path paved with self-destruction.

As believers of God, we must know the Word, study it, love it, cherish it and abide by it for it is the source of eternal life, faith, salvation, freedom, spiritual food, growth, blessedness, purity, guidance, comfort, spiritual victory, assurance and of joy. If we seek to find life, we need to walk in the Kingdom of Life. Believers are progressively becoming more wrapped up in church activity, which is in essence mere captivity to religion. Religion blinds us to the truth, for it cages us in traditional and worldly ways. Throughout the life of Jesus, He only preached Kingdom. Nothing else. In the Lord’s Prayer, methods, service modules and gender inequality have absolutely nothing to do with Kingdom. Just so, in Matthew 6, as Jesus taught about praying for the Kingdom to come, He also included in His teaching (verse 33) about seeking the Kingdom and His righteousness (implying walking in His Ways) then the rest will be added (life, hope, joy, and strength and spiritual prosperity). We need to seek the Kingdom above all else, but we can only walk in the manifested reality and glory of the Kingdom once we walk by Spirit, implying surrendering first our kingdom, laying down our crown and denying the Self. If we seek His Kingdom, then our kingdom (our ways, agendas, ideas) needs to die as well. What we believe to be truth, or the right way, or the correct path, needs to be surrendered as we seek the true way of the Lord, which is the Way of the Kingdom. Jesus said He is the Way, Truth and Life, meaning He is the WAY of the Kingdom, and if we seek the Kingdom then we need to follow the Lord Jesus in Spirit and Truth. If we seek His Kingdom, we find His path is one of righteousness, of love and peace, but also of order, of right and wrong and of purity.

Several years ago, the Lord spoke clearly in my spirit about the intense season the Church is about to face. At the time I understood this will not be a short season, but might very well run until He comes. In this time, we are trusting in the Lord for the end-time revival but make no mistake, times are going to be brutal for those who follow God. As a confirmation of this reality, God in 2024 spoke of the bulls of Bashan. As I sought the Lord on this truth, I became acutely aware of the incredible dangers that await those who wish to stand with God. In Psalm 22:12 David, in his distress, laments, “Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.” The picture of being surrounded by angry bulls, intent on goring and trampling their victim, is fearful indeed. Trouble was near, and there was no one to help him (Psalm 22:11). Despite these fearsome circumstances, David knew that God was not far off. God could deliver David’s soul from these threats. God is raising an end-time remnant for a time such as this. They obey God and not man. They fear not the devil. They listen to God, follow His truth and seek His will. They dismiss the devil’s lies and choose to stand with the Light as darkness continues to intensify upon the earth. Yes, they shall overcome the bulls of Bashan (demonic and worldly threats and dangers). This end-time remnant is facing extreme attack, and I believe more than ever since the resurrection of Jesus. Ultimately, if we as children of God want to survive the bulls of Bashan – the spiritual and the physical ‘giants’ - we need to abide in the Lord. We need to remain connected to the Vine (John 15). We need to become true disciples, grow up in the Spirit, and grow in God’s wisdom, truth and knowledge. If we are not grounded in the Lord, we will be swept away by the storms and be gorged by the bulls. After all, these bulls are waiting for an opportunity to strike. It is critical to remain connected to God, for then we are connected to life, hope, vision, joy and life!
