Thus, the map to follow in our pursuit of holiness. As we forsake His ways and spiritual laws, we embrace the darkness, and in the darkness, we succumb to spiritual corruption and we are vulnerable to evil inclinations and wicked intent. We are called to abandon all unto His care. To seek holiness. To seek purity. And to surrender it all to His Glory. Yes, we are called to seek moral goodness by seeking God, for without Him, we only find a perilous path paved with self-destruction.

If we seek to find true life, we need to walk in the ways of God's Kingdom. We need to seek the Kingdom above all else. We can only walk in the manifested reality and glory of the Kingdom once we walk by Spirit, implying surrendering first our kingdom, laying down our crown and denying the Self. If we seek His Kingdom, then our kingdom (our ways, agendas, ideas) needs to be surrendered. What we believe to be truth, to be the right way, or the correct path, needs to be surrendered as we seek the true way of the Lord, which is the Way of the Kingdom. Jesus said He is the Way, Truth and Life, meaning He is the WAY of the Kingdom, and if we seek the Kingdom then we need to follow the Lord Jesus in spirit and truth. For then we shall walk in God's order and His will. We are called by Jesus to walk the narrow road, to deny the Self, to take up the Cross and to love the Lord above all. There is no other way except in Jesus for sustained life in spirit, soul and body. Not the way of money. Not the way of status or power. We need to know and discern the ways of the Lord and to follow His path which leads to quiet rivers and green pastures. In God, there is hope, joy and love. As we follow Him, we follow the way to spiritual peace, belonging and restoration.

In the Old Testament, the prophet would guide the king, therefore the people, by speaking the will of God, and many times the will of God will include correction, judgment and warnings. Prophets were often ignored in the Old Testament, while even back in those days among the true prophets you found many speaking deceptions and lies. If we seek to find life, we need to walk in the Kingdom of Life. Believers are progressively becoming more wrapped up in church activity, which is in essence mere captivity to religion. Religion blinds us to the truth, for it cages us in traditional and worldly ways. Throughout the life of Jesus, He only preached Kingdom. Nothing else. In the Lord’s Prayer, methods, service modules and gender inequality have absolutely nothing to do with Kingdom. Just so, in Matthew 6, as Jesus taught about praying for the Kingdom to come, He also included in His teaching (verse 33) about seeking the Kingdom and His righteousness (implying walking in His Ways) then the rest will be added (life, hope, joy, and strength and spiritual prosperity). There is this strange notion these days that God no longer speaks to His people. It is said that God spoke in the Old Testament and that God today only speaks these days through His Word. When Jesus departed to be with His eternal Father, He gave the church (the ecclesia) a clear mission statement in Matthew 28, which speaks of the Great Commission. And what is the Great Commission, therefore, the mission? Go and make disciples so that the world may be told of Jesus and, therefore, be saved. Some will say some translations never speak of making disciples, but rather to teach all nations, “baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”. But is the purpose of teaching the nations of Christ not to make disciples? If one teaches someone about Jesus, you are surely equipping them to be a follower of Jesus. And such a follower is a disciple. We are called in God's wisdom and by His Spirit to teach all people about Jesus, for the purpose of making disciples. It doesn’t happen automatically. It will take a concerted and decisive effort of the Bride of God. Time is, however, slipping away to get our house in order with God, and now is the time to do so. We are living in the last days, and the day of the Lord’s coming is at hand. Billions of people are still lost in every city, town, and village across the world. There is no more time to be playing church or to be consumed with our agendas. We need to come into alignment with God, seek Him, and be awake from our slumber. The church has been slumbering for a long time, lulled into sleep by a false sense of security, peace and a sense of accomplishment. Yet there is a mission to complete, which is the Great Commission. It is God’s mission of bringing in the harvest of the lost and broken. Now is the time to get busy with God’s business, and His business is about salvation, redemption and restoration. The call to the church to actively engage in this mission, therefore, to make the main thing the main thing, is covered in volumes one and two.
