Book Description
This collection of papers comprises the Proceedings of the 11th Annual Conference on the Physics and Chemistry of Semiconductor Interfaces (PCSI). The Conference considered questions similar to those discussed at the most recent meetings at Asilomar (1979 and 1982), Estes Park (1980), Williamsburg (1981), and Santa Fe (1983), but was organized in a way that provided greater emphasis on specific and timely issues. In order to return to the 'Workshop' atmosphere of the first few PCSI conferences, the format of the Conference was modified to include a large number of invited papers, and a panel discussion. The specific topics covered by the invited speakers and the panel included: (1) Epitaxy, (2) Structure, (3) Transport, (4) Practical Devices, (5) Interfacial Kinetics, and (6) Barrier Measurement and Control. The contributed papers, both oral and poster, were also selected on the basis of their subject matter, and only in those specific areas designated above.
