Printed Organic and Molecular Electronics
Author: Daniel R. Gamota
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 1441990747
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 712
Book Description
Printed Organic And Molecular Electronics was compiled to create a reference that included existing knowledge from the most renowned industry, academic, and government experts in the fields of organic semiconductor technology, graphic arts printing, micro-contact printing, and molecular electronics. It is divided into sections that consist of the most critical topics required for one to develop a strong understanding of the states of these technologies and the paths for taking them from R&D to the hands of consumers on a massive scale. As such, the book provides both theory as well as technology development results and trends.

Book Description
The American Chemical Society (ACS) held its 219th National Meeting in San Francisco, California March 26-30, 2000. During this meeting, a program known as ''A Celebration of Chemistry in the 21st Century'' was held. This celebratory event focused on the impending changes in technology, the conduct of research, the global economy, and U.S. demographics. In addition, events designed to combat the negative public perception of chemistry and the hesitancy of children to consider careers in the physical sciences were included. Twenty-one speakers were given travel support to attend this symposium. As a result of this meeting, the American Chemical Society prepared a BOOK OF ABSTRACTS of all papers presented at its national meeting. For the purpose of the Scientific and Technical Information product, copies of the DOE funded participants' abstracts are included. This material is based upon work supported by the U.S. Department of Energy under Award No. DE-FG02-00ER15045.

Functional Condensation Polymers
Author: Charles E. Carraher Jr.
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 0306475634
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 321
Book Description
Although in nature the vast majority of polymers are condensation polymers, much publicity has been focused on functionalized vinyl polymers. Functional Condensation Polymers fulfills the need to explore these polymers which form an increasingly important and diverse foundation in the search for new materials in the twentyfirst century. Some of the advantages condensation polymers hold over vinyl polymers include offering different kinds of binding sites, their ability to be made biodegradable, and their different reactivities with various reagents under diverse reaction conditions. They also offer better tailoring of end-products, different tendencies (such as fiber formation), and different physical and chemical properties. Some of the main areas emphasized include dendrimers, control release of drugs, nanostructure materials, controlled biomedical recognition, and controllable electrolyte and electrical properties.
