Book Description
The mission of a Peace Warrior is not to physically oppose war but to create a peaceful environment. Peace Warriors protect their people by shedding obsolete beliefs, adopting a new morality, envisioning a better world, and evolving their consciousness. This can only be accomplished by changing from conquest, colonization, consumption to connection, communication, and a new consciousness. Such actions will cause our civilization to evolve like the mythical Phoenix bird which burned itself to death and then rose fresh and young from its ashes.According to Pere Teilhard de Chardin in his book "The Phenomenon of Man" the evolution of man will lead to new types and higher degrees of organization. This includes new patterns of cooperation among individuals, cooperation for practical control, for enjoyment, for education and in the last few centuries, new knowledge. This new knowledge is in new patterns of thought, new organization of awareness and its products. It will result in an overall cultural advance with a global unity of humans, system of awareness, and a high degree of variety within that unity. The evolution started when we moved into the technology age. The word Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese phrase which means always subtly changing and is the first step to Satori (enlightenment). It is wisdom in natural simplicity. Satori is sudden enlightenment and state of consciousness attained by intuitive illumination representing the spiritual goal of Zen Buddhism. The Western use of this phase began in the 1990's. The concept was borrowed by computer software developers and employed in "Agile programming" and "Wiki" to describe acceptance of the state of ongoing imperfection that is the product of these methods. It is known by Wikipedia, the web-based encyclopedia. Wiki is a web application which allows people to add, modify or delete content in collaboration with others. Jack Dorsey, the billionaire founder of Twitter and Square is known to evangelize the Wabi-Sabi philosophy of design. This has enabled the movement towards enlightenment for all of us.

Book Description
American Indian democracy was destroyed by the colonization of America. How this was done and how it can be renewed is described with ideas that could help return true liberty to everyone. The U.S. was formed by a genocide of Indians which was a continuation of what was happening in Europe. After a lengthy war to conquer the tribes the immigrants began colonizing and changing the economy to a worldwide enterprise. Manifest Destiny enabled them to take the land from the Indians. Indian democracy is liberty, freedom and independence which is the same as the U.S. but the dominant society has distorted this and is returning to a modern day monarchy of top down government. Indians believe we are all tied to nature including trees, animals, rivers, earth, stars and galaxies. Indian humor enables them to cope with the ancestral history that almost decimated tribes. They use satire and irony. Indians are right brain thinkers which means they tend to be cooperative, emotional, respectful to group needs, oriented to the present, and interested more in control of self than of others.Europeans use their left brain more which means being highly competitive and aggressive with a winner take all attitude. Personal goals are more important than the groups. Obsessed with the control of others, only humans have a spirit, nature is to be conquered, physical healing not spiritual, and the more you own the better you are. They believe an illusion that life is entirely physical. This is the technocratic civilization of the Newton-Darwin era. This has resulted in reduction of individual sovereignty by a centralized system of government and business leaders. They do this by controlling the markets, government policies and education.True enlightenment is the realization that your world is not what you thought it is. The only way that can happen is to experience a paradigm shift. A critical mass of people must take an active role in creating a new civilization. They must shed obsolete beliefs, adopt a new morality, envision the world as they would like it to be and evolve their consciousness. This can be done by moving from the obsolete industrial age of conquest, colonization, and consumption to connection, communication and consciousness as promoted by Ervin Laszlo.Indians use the Medicine wheel which is a powerful metaphor for the totality of life. This is explained in detail.Astronaut Neil Armstrong guided the Apollo 11 Lunar Module to the moon on July 20, 1969 and he said "The Eagle has landed". As he jumped to the surface he said, "One step for man and one giant step for mankind". But did mankind's giant step open the door for solving world problems? Astronaut Edgar Mitchell believed so during his 1971 Apollo 14 flight but progress has been slow.In the Bible the eagle is the symbol for spreading the gospel over the world i.e., Isaiah 40:31 "They will soar as with eagles' wings". The United States Great Seal adopted on June 20, 1782 features the eagle. During the Seal's development, it was said the golden rays of light signifies "breaking through the clouds". That may mean rising to a new consciousness which is what Indians believe.Father Pere Teilhard de Chardin describes the spirituality evolution of people in his book "The Phenomenon of Mann". Many people, such as Deepak Chopra M.D. are studying human consciousness to find solutions to world problems. The Mayan discoveries provide a more detailed scientific description. These fit perfectly with the 10,00-year-old Indian Picture Rocks along the Columbia River which includes petroglyphs of human forms with lines radiating out from their heads like shown in Christian pictures of Mary, the mother of Jesus. The concentric circles are spirals which indicate the interchange between the physical and spiritual. The spiral vortex explains the Miracle of Life of humans going from the Spirit World to the Physical World through a miraculous transition from the Frequency Domain to the Time Domain.

Book Description
The U.S. has bombed no less than thirty countries since the end of World War II, killing millions of people, maiming tens of millions more, disrupting and destroying education, healthcare, housing, businesses, infrastructure, the environment, and creating untold numbers of refugees. The US Peace Memorial Foundation honors, and is dedicated to, U.S. citizens/residents who work to end war. ENDING U.S. WARS documents the activities of these role models for peace in hopes of inspiring other Americans. It should unite the peace movement and help it to be more successful at ending wars. Chapters include:THE US PEACE PRIZE. Every year since 2009, the US Peace Memorial Foundation has honored a peace activist with the US Peace Prize. Recipients include Chelsea Manning, Medea Benjamin, Noam Chomsky, Ajamu Baraka, Dennis Kucinich, and Cindy Sheehan. In 2020 the US Peace Prize went to Christine Ahn, "for bold activism to end the Korean War, heal its wounds, and promote women's roles in building peace."THE US PEACE REGISTRY. 189 Americans and 80 organizations who work for peace and are role models for a broad range of peace and antiwar actions and activities. The Registry appears in print for the first time in ENDING U.S. WARS.COMING SOON: THE US PEACE MEMORIAL. The US Peace Memorial Foundation's most ambitious goal is to establish a monument to peace on the National Mall. Currently, plans include an inspiring and creative design that features a peace sign that can only be seen aerially and aims to serve as a reminder to government officials who fly over the Mall. As the US Peace Memorial is currently envisioned, twelve walls, or facets, will contain engraved peace quotes from famous Americans such as Jane Addams, Muhammad Ali, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Ernest Hemingway, Helen Keller, Martin Luther King Jr., and Margaret Mead, in addition to a variety of U.S. presidents who are not widely known for their antiwar statements. One day a peace memorial will stand on the National Mall. Until then, there is this book.

Book Description
Hundreds of years have passed since Earth's last war. The planet's citizens are tranquil laborers who have achieved a utopian existence. Peace and harmony are the norm. Individuals who express anger or display violent tendencies are considered ill and are banished from society. Into this perfect world descend the Minith, a vicious race of off-world invaders. Their goal: ransack Earth's resources and enslave its population. Unable to defend their world from their alien oppressors, Earth's leaders and scientists labor to accomplish the impossible. Their goal: resurrect a fallen soldier from an earlier time -- someone who can rid their planet of the Minith and save the human race. It's the mid-21st century when Sergeant First Class Grant Justice is killed during an ambush on an enemy tank column. Six hundred years later, his body is retrieved from the frozen, arctic lake where he perished. Re-animated by a team of scientists, Grant awakens to a civilization that has abolished war. A civilization that has outlawed violence and cherishes Peace above all else. A civilization that has been enslaved by an alien race called the Minith. Grant is humankind's final hope against the alien menace. He must be... the Peace Warrior.

Book Description
A diverse group of contributors offer different perspectives on whether or not the different experiences of our military and the broader society amounts to a "gap"—and if the American public is losing connection to its military. They analyze extensive polling information to identify those gaps between civilian and military attitudes on issues central to the military profession and the professionalism of our military, determine which if any of these gaps are problematic for sustaining the traditionally strong bonds between the American military and its broader public, analyze whether any problematic gaps are amenable to remediation by policy means, and assess potential solutions. The contributors also explore public disengagement and the effect of high levels of public support for the military combined with very low levels of trust in elected political leaders—both recurring themes in their research. And they reflect on whether American society is becoming so divorced from the requirements for success on the battlefield that not only will we fail to comprehend our military, but we also will be unwilling to endure a military so constituted to protect us. Contributors: Rosa Brooks, Matthew Colford,Thomas Donnelly, Peter Feaver, Jim Golby, Jim Hake, Tod Lindberg, Mackubin Thomas Owens, Cody Poplin, Nadia Schadlow, A. J. Sugarman, Lindsay Cohn Warrior, Benjamin Wittes

Book Description
In this story of the movement that came close to keeping the United States out of the First World War,...Kazin brings us into the ranks of the largest, most diverse, and most sophisticated peace coalition up to that point in US history. They came from a variety of backgrounds: wealthy and middle and working class, urban and rural, white and black ... They mounted street demonstrations and popular exhibitions, attracted prominent leaders from the labor and suffrage movements, ran peace candidates for local and federal office, and founded new organizations that endured beyond the cause. For almost three years, they helped prevent Congress from authorizing a massive increase in the size of the US army"

Book Description
"Nine U.S. activists discuss the parts they played in opposing the war at home and their risky travels to Vietnam in the midst of the conflict to engage in people-to-people diplomacy. In 2013, the 'Hanoi 9' activists revisited Vietnam together; this book presents their thoughtful reflections on those experiences, as well as the stories of five U.S. veterans who returned to make reparations. Their successes in antiwar organizing will challenge the myths that still linger from that era, and inspire a new generation seeking peaceful solutions to war and conflict today"--
