Le travail réalisé s'inscrit dans le contexte du développement des observatoires câblés de fond de mer. Il s'agit de dimensionner des dispositifs de capteurs sous-marins opto-alimentés, afin de développer des systèmes d'observation plus flexibles Dans ce contexte, nous avons proposé et testé une extension tout-optique qui permet la transmission conjointe de la puissance et des données sur une fibre optique unique. Ce dispositif nécessite la transmission de fortes puissances optiques pour recueillir une puissance électrique suffisante pour alimenter un capteur. La présence de forte puissance optique engendre la manifestation de phénomènes optiques dont les effets et leur interaction doivent être étudiés Nous souhaitons étendre cette étude à l'opto-alimentation de capteurs dans de nouvelles configurations (multicapteurs, réseau de capteurs). Ceci nous amène à compléter notre étude expérimentale en prenant en compte ces nouvelles configurations de réseaux opto-alimentés. Les résultats expérimentaux obtenus sont confrontés à des résultats de simulations. L'objectif du travail vise à optimiser les transports simultanés de la puissance pour l'optoalimentation et des données sur une fibre optique.

The book intends to give a state-of-the-art overview of flexoelectricity, a linear physical coupling between mechanical (orientational) deformations and electric polarization, which is specific to systems with orientational order, such as liquid crystals. Chapters written by experts in the field shed light on theoretical as well as experimental aspects of research carried out since the discovery of flexoelectricity. Besides a common macroscopic (continuum) description the microscopic theory of flexoelectricity is also addressed. Electro-optic effects due to or modified by flexoelectricity as well as various (direct and indirect) measurement methods are discussed. Special emphasis is given to the role of flexoelectricity in pattern-forming instabilities. While the main focus of the book lies in flexoelectricity in nematic liquid crystals, peculiarities of other mesophases (bent-core systems, cholesterics, and smectics) are also reviewed. Flexoelectricity has relevance to biological (living) systems and can also offer possibilities for technical applications. The basics of these two interdisciplinary fields are also summarized.
