This report highlights progress made towards solving previously identified priorities along with any new and emerging issues that have come to light since the last report. It begins with an overview of Committee activities and the state of the agricultural industry in Ontario. This is followed by a review of achievements of the four sub-committees including research projects, publications, work in progress, and plans; an assessment of emerging research needs; actions taken on previous recommendations; and detailed research recommendations for the coming year, along with background to the research and projected costs & benefits. The Ontario Food Processing Research & Services Committee met to determine priorities for food processing research in Ontario, reviewed recommendations from the Review of the Co- ordination Process for Publicly Funded Agri-food Research & Technology Transfer, and discussed implementation of the recommendations.
