Book Description
How my mother became my guardian angel is a bookbased on my life after losing my beautiful mother. I was 18 years old with an 8 month old baby not knowing where I was going to go. My life then became a huge struggle; I became homeless, physically and mentally abused. I started screaming and crying for my mother which took me into a dark grieving depression. The only person that took me out of that stage is the person I walk with everyday. His name is Jesus Christ a friend of mine who came and saved me in my darkest days. How my mother became my guardian angel is only the beginning of my brightest and beautiful days. My mother was such a strong beautiful black WOMAN whom GOD made with his delicate hands. After we all had lost our mother my family came to an ugly end. During my struggles and all my pain; I reached up and grabbed a hold of GOD's hand, but one thing our heavenly father did for me is brought my mother in my dreams over and over again. The sun was so pretty and bright the way she came into my life, but when I opened my eyes and saw the daylight it was time to put up my biggest fights. She helped me get through so many struggles and away from people that weren't right in my life. At first when I started dreaming of her I woke up saying, "Something isn't right." Until the day came when I noticed my dreams were only here to strengthen me throughout my life. My mother always told us that she wasn't going to be here forever, but before she leaves this place she wished we would all get it together. I was so young growing up listening to her repeat those words over and over, but one thing I did not know is how her death was the beginning of my deepest darkest struggles. So as you read my story, do yourself a favor and go put on your favorite robe, because once your done reading my story your worries should become very old. I'm dedicating this book to my mother because she could've gone upstairs to heaven and said my job on earth isfinally done. However, as a result of my struggles and screaming her name in pain, she came back in my life to help guide me until my strength I finally regained. I remember one dream I had with her, she was walking on grass sounding like glass "click, click, click", she was waving her hand and smiling at me telling me to tell everyone. I couldn't figure out that dream to save my life! However, after writing this book, now I can say; consider it a job well done!

Book Description
I’ll Carry You My Child I just remember praying so silently, “Dear Jesus, will you please take my trembling hand?” Lord, can’t you see I’m losing all of my courage? I’m weak, my legs are shaking, and I can barely stand. I know that you see this door in front of me; my precious daughter is resting in peace on the other side. I am just so afraid of seeing what I most want to see, “Lord, Do you think, this time, you could carry me inside?” Then Jesus said, “My child you must have forgotten, for this surely isn’t the very first time. You’ve had other troubling times in your life, as I did then, I’ll carry you now, and you will be just fine.” I can’t tell you this won’t be painful, for it will be, there will be things that you won’t want to see. But someday even painful memories become cherished, and they’ll remain “deep, in the heart of you and me.” Don’t you remember the day that you followed me child, as we walked lazily along in the sand? There was only “one set of footprints” then, don’t you know, “my child, I’ll carry you again?” 18 MARY J. BOOMHOWER Did You See The Angels? Danni, “Did you see the angels hovering near, and did you ask them to please go away?” “Did you tell them you would go another time, but that you just couldn’t go that day?” Danni, “Did you tell them you were on your way home, and that I was counting the minutes to see you?” “Did you tell them your new life had barely begun, and that you still had so many things to do?” Danni, “Did you tell them, that you really loved “The Lord,” and you would gladly go to Heaven someday?” “Did you tell them that we hadn’t said our good-byes, and that you just couldn’t leave me that way?” Danni, “Did you tell them that your mama wasn’t that strong, and that I just couldn’t bear losing my child?” “Did you tell them how we had to hug every day, and how much I would miss your smile?” MAMA’S HEART 19 Our Last Cuddle All signs of life were gone from you, when I first saw you that day. The pain that you had suffered was still on your face, and I wanted so badly to take it away. I needed to wrap my arms around you, and to give you lots of baby kisses. Just the way we did when you were small, and when you had all of those “near misses!” I gently blew kisses over your body, while I prayed that you safely made it “home.” Then I really thought I heard you say, “Mama, please cuddle me once more, while we’re alone.” I really wanted to lye down beside you, and wrap you up so tightly in my arms. I wanted assurance you’d never know pain again, I’d gladly lay there forever, protecting you from harm. I just went to my knees praying, Lord Jesus, will you please, please hold my hand? She had so much life left to live, Lord. I just don’t understand! Lord, you know I’ve lost my precious child, and I don’t know what to do. This is the hardest time in my life I’ve ever known. And now, Lord, I need so much help from you! 20 MARY J. BOOMHOWER Footprints On My Heart How very softly you tip-toed into my world, almost silently, and only a moment you stayed. I wasn’t prepared to let you go, and never dreamed you’d go away. I remember the day you took your first step, and how it made a footprint on my heart. I never thought your life would be so brief, or how soon we’d have to say good-bye and part. I used to think of the day you’d marry, and wonder about the man you’d choose. I prayed you’d find the right one, someone that would love you and always be true. Some say that God knows the day we are born, how long our stay on earth will be. If “He” knew from the beginning, I just wish ‘He” would have prepared me. MAMA’S HEART 21 What Would You Do Without Me? Please open up your big brown eyes; I just know if you’d try that you can. Can’t you feel me? I’m right here beside you! Oh my child, I can just barely stand. Please open your eyes, I know that you can. You can’t be gone, the dream wasn’t yours, it was mine! This was always a dream but I didn’t understand, but now you’re gone and you left me behind!

Book Description
I lost my mom in January of 2013. She was my inspiration. She always told us to see the gifts God gave you. She always told us we can do anything we set our minds too. I was inspired through my grief to help others through theirs. I write these poems for people who have lost their loved one in a tragedy or they have just passed on to heaven to return home. They are now our angels watching over us. When I sit and think of a person and how sad they must be or how their heart is breaking so much, it inspires me to write. It lifts their hearts to a peace filled state; their hearts can be light again to enjoy the memory of their lost loved one. They can smile once again, knowing their loved ones are with them always in Gods miracles. He shows us his work in the beauty of the sky and the world in general, all around us. He tries to help us get through our grief by showing how green the grass is or how blue the sky can be. I love you, Mom. I love you, Dad. Thank you for showing me Gods gifts.

Book Description
The Heart Of A Mother Mothers are our first heros from birth. They did an incredible deed by just that. Keeping us. They could have got rid of us before we were even a person. Before we could even develop. But they didn't. No matter what the situation was at home they chose to keep us. To raise us. To love us. Take care of us. All through the struggles and dramas that life brings along every single day. So for once let's just say something like this: Mama, mom, mommy and Mother. I love and respect you. Thank you for everything you've given me. You gave me so much. Life is the first. And love is the second. Care is the third. So much more follows. Because there is so many things you've done for me. So many. And I am grateful for everything. Even though sometimes I won't seem it. Sometimes I'll be a burden. I'll scream at you, I'll say a whole lot of things that you won't appreciate because I'm still young. But as time progresses I'll grow. I want you to know that I love you. My angel. My hero...my superwoman, my everything good in my life. And I'm not just talking about just biological moms. I'm talking about the one who raised you. The one who had and still has to listen to your whining and complaining. The one who disciplines you everytime you do something wrong but always stands up for you everytime something wrong is being done to you. That's your mom. A mom who loves and adores you even though you're full of mistakes and you're just a brat sometimes. Your mother. It doesn't even really have to be female. A mom is someone who has the heart of a mother.

Book Description
For several years, I gave thought to developing a collection of poems in honor of, and for the reading pleasure of, my mother. I even sacrificed a wee bit of my personal time, now and again, in search of poetry that I felt would touch her heart; not only poems relevant to her relationships with her children, but poems that would allow her to reminisce about her mother, my grandmother. There was no need for me to rush about in completing my little sentimental project, for my mother, while advanced in years, seemed happy, and healthy, and would be with her loved ones for years to come.I thought wrong. Angels came to take my mother home, most unexpectedly. I will have to live with the knowledge that I could have caused tears of joy in her precious eyes had I taken greater care in completing my humble tribute of her life while she was living. If you have lost your mother, please accept my sincere condolence. I empathize with your pain, grief, and sorrow. I know the need for precious memories, and pray the words of the poems within this book will bring you comfort, even though tears some of the words may bring. Should you be blessed to have your mother still available for hugs and kisses, please take the time, and effort, to cherish her with your love, respect, admiration, and affection. Give your mother flowers while she can enjoy their beauty, and fragrance.
