W. J. Elliott, after which the Association was called to order by the Mod crator, George Williams. The first thing in order being the reading of the. Letters from the different churches, the same were called for, and, on motion the reading was postponed until the following morning. The election of officers was also postponed until the following morning. The Moderator appointed a committee on Religious ex croises, as follows: J. A. Beverly, J. D. Brooks, and the pastor and delegates of Fitzpatrick Church. The committee on religious exercises announced that Rev. W. R. Adams would preach in the evening at o'clock. The Moderator announced that the Association would meet each day at 9 o'clock a. M. Adjourn at 11 for preach ing, and meet at 2 p. M., and adjourn atwill.
