Book Description
Academic Paper from the year 2023 in the subject Politics - Region: Africa, , language: English, abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the level of knowledge, attitude and practices towards meat hygiene among butchers in Savelugu in the Savelugu Municipality of the Northern region of Ghana. Ghana's livestock industry is essential to the country's development and progress economically, as seen by the over 3 million animals sent there each year. Also, the industry contributes to 60% of new job possibilities while also making up 40% and 80% of Ghana's GDP and foreign exchange profits, respectively. Meat hygiene is most simply defined as the conditions and actions required to guarantee the appropriateness and safety of meat at all points in the supply chain for meat and goods associated to it. The majority of meat inspectors in underdeveloped nations and rural abattoirs lack the necessary skills, expertise, and information to properly assess the hygienic conditions of the organs, meat, and corpses of the killed animals. Although meat contains a high percentage of nutrients, it is frequently contaminated, which can cause food-related ailments in consumers. In addition, inappropriate handling of food is the main contributor to outbreaks of food-related diseases, including food poisoning. Raw meat is particularly susceptible to contamination. Most often, contamination occurs when food that doesn't need to be cooked, such salad, is prepared on a surface that was previously used to prepare raw meat without being properly cleaned. Before an animal is killed, it must be carefully examined, and there must be an inspection procedure going on as the animal is being killed. These efforts are very important for preventing animal-related diseases and making sure that the public receives nutritious meat. Many developing nations' slaughterhouses lack sufficient slaughtering and processing equipment, clean water sources, effective sewage or waste disposal systems, and refrigerated facilities. For instance, in Ghana, this has resulted in contaminated meat and inadequate waste disposal practises.

Book Description
About four out of five people in low- and middle-income countries who need services for mental, neurological and substance-use conditions do not receive them. Even when available, the interventions often are neither evidence-based nor of high quality. WHO recently launched the mental health Gap Action Programme (mhGAP) for low- and middle-income countries with the objective of scaling up care for mental, neurological and substance-use disorders. This mhGAP Intervention Guide has been developed to facilitate mhGAP-related delivery of evidence-based interventions in non-specialised health-care settings. The Intervention Guide is brief so as to facilitate interventions by busy non-specialists in low- and middle-income countries. It describes in detail what to do but does not go into descriptions of how to do. It is important that the non-specialist health-care providers are trained in using the mhGAP Intervention Guide in assessing and managing people with mental, neurological and substance-use disorders.

Book Description
Everywhere in the world, small agricultural producers are entrepreneurs, traders, investors, and consumers, all rolled into one. In all these roles, small agricultural households constantly seek to use available financial instruments to improve their productivity and secure the best possible consumption and investment choices for their families. But the package of financial services available to small farmers in developing countries is severely limited, especially for those living in remote areas with no access to basic market infrastructure. When poor people have limited saving or borrowing options, their investment plans are stifled and it becomes harder for them to break out of poverty. If households have no access to insurance and are unable to accumulate small savings that enable them to pay for household and business expenses, especially during lean seasons, they are forced to limit their exposure to risk, even if high returns are expected, once again making the pathway out of poverty more arduous than necessary. Inadequate access to financial services is thus part of what is often called the “poverty trap.”

Book Description
I was inspired by Hollywood movie in giving a name to this book. Matrix is the name of a fake world which is believed to be fictitious. September 11 was a starting point which differentiates between those who resist and those who don't and between those who believe and those who don't. I agree with war on terrorism, blame all kind of terrorist and terror acts, but I disagree with the fiction of Matrix. Absolutely, Al Qaeda is a terrorist organization and Laden is the mastermind of terrorism. Thank you Canada. I am proud of being Canadian, otherwise I would not feel free to write this book in US.
