Outre cet aspect technologique, l'ancrage de complexes organométalliques ou de coordination sur des supports inorganiques peut également aboutir à des schémas de réactivité différents de ceux des espèces moléculaires analogues: ceci est dû, d'une part, à l'effet d'isolement de site, qui peut influer sur des mécanismes de désactivation, et, d 'autre part, à la présence de la surface en tant que ligand très encombrant. qui peut avoir un impact considérable sur la sélectivité des systèmes catalytiques supportés. Dans ce contexte, nous avons introduit une approche nouvelle au sein de l'Unité pour la préparation de catalyseurs supportés, par greffage de composés organométalliques sur des supports inorganiques. La démarche suivie est restée centrée sur le contrôle, ou au moins sur la compréhension, de la réaction entre un complexe et une surface. Ceci est nécessaire à l'obtention de matériaux où la grande majorité des sites présente une réactivité similaire (catalyseurs à site unique).
