Book Description
The aim of this book is to publicise a vision for the United Kingdom outside the EU. A valid concern of the undecided voter abounds from the uncertainty of the UK trading arrangements post Brexit. I propose a vision based upon free trade with emerging countries, with cheaper food for the UK consumer, the chance for developing nations to escape poverty, and for the UK to lead free trade areas that dwarf the EU and rival China. A vision based upon spending the 10 billion the UK gives to the EU on our NHS and social care, and tax cuts for the low paid. A vision for an economy utilizing the high skills and hi-tech, giving hope to the British people; dynamism and competition through tax cuts; and investment in social housing, infrastructure, and energy independence across the whole United Kingdom. History proves that when the resolve of the free world weakens, then aggressors such as Russia and IS are strengthened. I propose a fully costed programme to rebuild UK defence at all levels, with armaments and aircraft built in the UK. Strong defence will not only counter aggression, but provide high skilled jobs, and strengthen the UK steel industry.

Book Description
Aviation Markets: Studies in Competition and Regulatory Reform is a collection of 17 papers selected from David Starkie's extensive writings over the last 25 years. Previously published material has been extensively edited and adapted, and combined with new material, published here for the first time. The book is divided into five sections, each featuring an original overview chapter, to better establish the background and also explain the papers' wider significance including, wherever appropriate, their relevance to current policy issues. These papers have been selected to illustrate a significant theme that has been relatively neglected thus far in both aviation and industrial economics: the role of the market and its interplay with the development of economic policy in the context of a dynamic but partly price regulated industry. The result provides a strong flavour of how market mechanisms, and particularly competition, can operate to successfully resolve policy issues. The book will be of interest to academics and those engaged in the formulation of aviation policy, such as public administrators and consultants, as well as those working in the aviation industry. It is also relevant to economic studies in a more general context, particularly to students and practitioners in industrial organisation economics, including those studying and researching the public utility industries.

Book Description
Landmark Cases in Land Law is the sixth volume in the Landmark Cases series of collected essays on leading cases (previous volumes in the series having covered Restitution, Contract, Tort, Equity and Family Law). The eleven cases in this volume cover the period 1834 to 2011, although, interestingly, no fewer than six of the cases were decided or reported in the 1980s. The names of the selected cases will be familiar to property lawyers. However, individually, the essays provide a reappraisal of the cases from a wide range of perspectives - focusing on their historical, social or theoretical context, highlighting previously neglected aspects and even questioning their perceived importance. Collectively, the essays explore several common themes that pervade the law of property – the numerus clausus principle, the conclusiveness of registration, the desirability of certainty in the law and the central question of the enforceability of interests through changes in ownership of land. This volume provides a collection of essays that will be of interest to academics, students and practitioners.
