Descendant Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Böhning, son of Christian Ludwig Böhning and Charlotte Louise Frederike Schmidt, was born 26 January 1824 in Lashorst, Westfalen, Prussia. He emigrated in 1853. He married Anna Franziska Charlotte Kordes (1836-1919) 7 July 1855 in St. Louis, Missouri. They had eleven children. He died 23 December 1891 in St. Louis. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany and Missouri.
