Philippe Samyn is widely recognised as Belgium's most well-known architectural and engineering office. Over many years he has made a name for himself with his innovative constructions using steel and glass, and his ecologically optimized glass dome made of wood and glass at the Walloon forestry centre in Marche-en-Famenne gained much acclaim. Projects such as a research centre for steel construction in Gent, the M & G K Laboratories in Venafro, Italy or a footbridge in Kortrijk, Belgium are all examples of Samyn's successful synthesis of engineering skills and architectural aesthetics.
