Dukova, H. D., Mastrantonio, M. (ed.) (2023). International Academic Research & Reviews in Educational Sciences-I-. Global Academy Publishing House. DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.59740/academy.01 This book consists of eight chapters. In the first chapter, there is information about the Sanjak of Rhodes, an administrative division of the Ottoman Empire, and statements that madrasas and Islamic higher education schools were an important part of the education system in the Ottoman Empire. In the second chapter, there is research into emotional education, which is the process of developing emotional intelligence, which includes understanding and managing one's own emotions, as well as recognizing and empathizing with the emotions of others, where teachers play a very important role in emotional education when they interact with students on a daily basis and can provide a safe and supportive environment for emotional learning. In the third chapter explains the development of the roles of sustainable citizenship education in Indonesia and provides curricular recommendations to the education system. In the fourth chapter, it is mentioned that individuals who have developed writing skills in their mother tongue are successful in the writing skills they have learned in the foreign language they have learned and that there is an important connection between writing skills and teaching as a mother tongue in a foreign language. In the context of the fact that students who cannot gain writing skills in their mother tongue, in general, have difficulty writing in the language they have learned, it is also emphasized that Turkish students face some difficulties in the process of learning Persian, considering their writing skills within the framework of teaching Persian as a foreign language. The fifth chapter provides a brief historical account of the Urkun incident, the circumstances that prepared the rebellion, and the consequences of the rebellion. Then, the reflections of this event on Kyrgyz prose are emphasized. In Kyrgyzstan, which gained its independence in 1991, the literature of the pre-independence Soviet period and the post-independence literary environment are not the same. Soviet-era literature is literature that is entirely under the guidance of the state. This has had an impact on the topics dealt with in literature. There were interventions by the Soviet administration in the handling of the Urkun incident, and Urkun was sometimes among the banned subjects. The study also includes the intervention of the literary environment on the subject of Urkun. In the sixth chapter, emphasizes why the Soviet leadership gave importance to the theater genre and the factors that influenced the formation of the theater genre that entered Kyrgyz literature in the 1920s. In the first part of the study, the historical, political, and psychological environment prevailing in the Kyrgyz geography at the beginning of the 20th century is mentioned. The attitude of the Soviet authorities was primarily influential in the rapid development of contemporary theater. Therefore, in the second part of the study, it is discussed why the Soviet authorities attach importance to the theater genre. In the third part of the study, the factors affecting the formation and development of the Contemporary Kyrgyz Theater in the post-revolutionary period are discussed in general. In the seventh chapter, some basic concepts, theories, and practices in educational administration are discussed, emphasizing that educational administration is the process of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling educational institutions such as schools, colleges, and universities. The aim of the eighth chapter is to determine the applicability of the lipogram technique by investigating its contribution to Turkish teaching and creative writing activities. This book has been prepared for academics, researchers, doctoral students, and policymakers working in the field of education.

Book Description
Edited by Prof. Dr. Ramón Antonio Hernández Chirinos de Jesus Published by : Global Academy Publishing House This book consists of seven chapters. In the first chapter, the measurement invariance of the Test Anxiety scale in the PISA 2015 cycle was examined by gender with 53 different country data. It was concluded that 50 countries achieved strict invariance and 3 countries achieved scalar invariance. These results show that the test anxiety scale consisting of five items provides measurement invariance according to gender in different languages and cultures, and therefore can be used with confidence. In the second chapter, In the studies conducted in Turkey, depression, anxiety, CAD, somatization, hostility (anger and aggression) and psychoticism symptoms were investigated; Research on symptoms such as OCD, FA and PD has been found to be very limited. For this reason, more research on the effect of art therapy on mental symptoms in adolescents such as OCD, FA, PD is recommended in Turkey. Although there has been increasing interest in art therapy in Turkey in recent years, studies in this field remain limited. Studies on the effect of art therapy on the mental symptom levels of adolescents in Turkey are insufficient. It is thought that this review study will provide facilitating findings for mental health professionals in examining the effect of art therapy on the mental symptoms of adolescents. In the third chapter, critically examines the theme of female individuation as portrayed in Virginia Woolf’s novel To the Lighthouse and Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar. Using a careful analysis of these literary works, this chapter argues that Woolf and Plath use their female characters to address the daunting challenges women face in their search for a separate identity within a patriarchal society. Both Mrs. Ramsay in To the Lighthouse and Esther Greenwood in The Bell Jar struggle with the arduous task of self-definition amid societal expectations deeply rooted in traditional gender roles. By closely examining these characters’ paths to self-assertion, this chapter illuminates the complicated and multi-layered process of female individuation within a patriarchal framework. The deliberate selection of two works for this study has provided valuable insight into the issue of gender stereotypes and their impact on characters. Esther Greenwood in The Bell Jar demonstrates a deep awareness of the societal expectations and gender stereotypes imposed upon her. Her persistent efforts to challenge these norms are met with repeated setbacks that resemble the experience of hitting a metaphorical glass ceiling. In the fourth chapter, the authors attempt to analyze the strategy by using the Theory of Regime Effectiveness and the Concept of Humanitarian Strategy which specifically focuses on two dimensions. This research uses a qualitative approach and focuses on descriptive research. The research is also focused on 2019-2020 as the year of implementation of the Women's Protection and Empowerment policy. The fifth chapter in the context of factors such as an aging population and an increasing retirement age, the study included findings that various policies and incentives should be implemented to encourage the participation of older workers in the labor force. It also details how to provide continuing education and skills development opportunities, keep an ageing workforce in employment and be competitive. In the sixth chapter it is emphasized that sharing is an issue that parents should be aware of. When sharing content about children, the importance of protecting their privacy and safety is explained. In the seventh chapter, Research on "Material Design and the Use of Material in Social Studies History Teaching" is included. It has been explained that grounding research on learning and teaching processes with a theory will provide great benefits in teaching by improving the scientific aspect of that work. It has been mentioned that the subjects of the history of social studies consist mostly of verbal information and that the strengthening of memory is useful in the teaching of the history of social studies. This book has been prepared for academics, researchers, doctoral students and policy makers working in the field of education.

Book Description
Educational research is not what it was fifteen years ago. In this discipline the changes have been dramatic, far-reaching and rapid. Out of the criticisms of the 1990s and the calls for greater accountability of the early 2000s one idea has come to the fore—education science. There are two main components to education science. The first is the principle that research in education must model itself more closely on disciplines seen as highly credible and successful, mainly the natural sciences and medicine. The second part is that educators must build their practice upon the insights developed through this scientific research process. Overall, education science has the potential to change how we think about education, how we build knowledge about it, and how we know when it is successful. This volume brings together some of the most active proponents of education science and some of the most committed critics. Within it the idea of education science is explored in depth, randomized controlled trials (considered the “gold standard” of education science) are discussed in detail, and the philosophical difficulties of knowledge in education are explored. Established thinkers are brought alongside newly emerging analysts, and detailed accounts of the institutions driving education science are included. Each contribution is thoughtful and balanced, engaging with the issues of the field and how they might be addressed. As a body of work, this collection of essays provides a well-rounded, critical discussion of the potential—and the problems—of the education science movement.

Book Description
University research is of central political, cultural and economic importance for nations and is currently the subject of considerable debate and discussion in universities worldwide. Research has become highly competitive though scarce resources. In recent years, research policies and strategies at different levels have called into question researcher autonomy, problematised academic freedom, created new disciplinary hierarchies, skewed publication rates and processes, created powerful ways to measure research outputs and demanded new working habits. This book is concerned with how individual researchers experience and respond to this scenario. It brings together research and scholarship examining the socio-political context of university research and explores how researchers' perceptions and identities are changed by political and cultural agendas for research. The book brings together the work of leading international scholars from different countries who have investigated theoretically and empirically the nature of research, research cultures and academic researcher identities. It brings together work that has hitherto only been reported in isolated and esoteric contexts internationally, thus consolidating the nature of research as an important field of study in its own right and providing important new understandings of how research is experienced in universities. A range of different theoretical positions taken by different authors is indicative of a lively and robust field of developing knowledge. Contributors:Dr Gerlese S. Akerlind, Dr Christine Asmar, Professor David Boud, Dr Harry de Boer, Dr Jurgen Enders, Dr Margaret Kiley, Dr Liudvika Leisyte, Professor Alison Lee, Dr Catherine Manathunga, Professor Emeritus Ian McNay, Dr Ocean Ripeka Mercier, Dr Mari Murtonen, Associate Professor Susan Page, Professor Betty Rambur, Professor Sir Peter Scott, Professor Margaret Thornton, Professor Malcolm Tight

Book Description
Research by universities plays an increasingly important role in shaping education policy around the world yet there is much dissatisfaction with the ways that they share that work. This much-needed, original book analyses efforts and systems in nine countries to mobilize research knowledge, describing the various factors that support or inhibit that work. Beginning and concluding chapters offer analytical lenses for understanding these various elements across the cases. Together, this collection from a wide range of experienced contributors, provides an unprecedented international view of the way education research is produced and shared, and provides excellent signposts for improvement for researchers and those interested in more impact from research in education.
