Elle peut donc réduire la complexité du traitement orthodontique, le temps global du traitement et le coût. Les appareils utilisés sont simples et portés sur une courte durée. L’interception s’effectue en denture temporaire voire en denture mixte, c’est à dire de 3 à 11 ans.
