The Monday Collection includes: MANIC MONDAY A MONTH OF MONDAYS THANK GOD ITS MONDAY Look for more Jake Monday Chronicles early 2014 as his saga continues! FROM THE AUTHOR The Monday Collection, Volume One is a special volume of the first three books of the Jake Monday Chronicles. It includes: Manic Monday, A Month of Mondays, and Thank God it's Monday. The Monday Collection, Volume Two will be released in the fourth quarter of 2014 and will include the final four parts of the Jake Monday story: Rainy Days and Mondays (March 2014), Can't Wait for Monday (May 2014), Mad Mad Monday (July 2014), and Monday Bloody Monday (September 2014). The Jake Monday Chronicles began when I wrote a short story about an assassin named Jake Monday. I had no plans, really, but I had a sentence running through my head. The sentence that launched this series began: "Jake Monday hated Mondays more than any other day of the week." The idea that a high-profile assassin would be unhappy, unsatisfied, and struggling with his past and future, is not new. I wanted to explore new areas of this theme. I thought of family, of a past hidden, of the moral challenge of an individual that finds himself caught in a massive global conspiracy while grappling with the choices he has made, willingly or not. So, Jake Monday is my Jason Bourne. Hallie is my Sidney Bristow (from Alias). My villains...well, they are all my own. I love to draw villains who are deep, believable, and scary. Not because they always represent the antithesis of the hero, but just the opposite: my villains are not much different than all of us. I do not believe in "grey areas," but I do believe the line between good and evil can be narrow. One wrong move and even someone like Jake Monday can be heading in the wrong direction.

A Tiffany Monday
Author: John Sager
Publisher: WestBow Press
ISBN: 1449732127
Category : Biography & Autobiography
Languages : en
Pages : 248
Book Description
To tell this most-unusual love story about two seventy-five year-olds, author John Sager retrieves more than 200 e-mails which he and Jo-an shared in the six months leading up to their wedding, shown in this photo. He had been in love with her since the first grade; she had never imagined such a thing. Not long after she gets it, she falls in love with him. Soon enough, they slip away in his motor home to a quiet Pacific Ocean beach to talk about the M word. Their electronic exchanges, taken verbatim from the original texts, tell of a growing love story of intriguing proportions: infrequent face-to-face get-togethers, owing to his peculiar work assignment for the CIA, the power of prayer in their daily lives, a bit of office intrigue and, eventually, a wedding under a palm tree beneath Diamond Head in Honolulu. Then five years of incomparable wedded bliss. It is a beautiful story, told as the two lovers wrote it, and sure to warm the hearts of seniors everywhere, and of the not-so-old as well: Keep the fires of love burning and never give in to the notion that it is too late!

ISBN: 1631943286
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 238
Book Description
Clifford Flush, happily—if wrongly—acquitted of and semi-contentedly retired from the pursuit of murder, has not felt the need to off anyone in ages. Sure, he fled London when the return of the old urges left him open to a spot of blackmail, but he's been doing fine—thriving, in fact. He and the other members of the Asterisk Club, all murderers the law couldn't manage to hold, have turned the gory business of killing into a legitimate business venture: they've set up a homicide consultancy firm and are teaching discerning students the ropes (and guns, and getaways). Nice work if you can get it...or it is until one aspiring killer turns up dead on their very own premises. It's an intolerable embarrassment, and the culprit must be found out!
