Numerical Solution to the Flow of a Gas-solid Suspension Through a Nozzle
Author: John A. Hultberg
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 54
Book Description
A method of numerical solution of the basic gas dynamic equations involving suspended solids is presented for the case of an arbitrary area distribution. The velocity of sound in the two-phase mixture was computed. The importance of the throat condition is clarified and the inadequacy of solutions without the throat condition is discussed. The numerical solution and the exact solution are presented for comparison. The complete program using the Runge-Kutta-Gill method is given in detail. (Author).

Bubble Wake Dynamics in Liquids and Liquid-Solid Suspensions
Author: Liang-Shih Fan
Publisher: Butterworth-Heinemann
ISBN: 1483289508
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 380
Book Description
This book is devoted to a fundamental understanding of the fluid dynamic nature of a bubble wake, more specifically the primary wake, in liquids and liquid-solid suspensions, an dto the role it plays in various important flow phenomena of multiphase systems. Examples of these phenomena are liquid/solids mixing, bubble coalescence and disintergration, particle entrainment to the freeboard, and bed contraction.
