And how will the glory of God shine forth in the final results of Redemption? When Christ shall see of the travail of His soul, when He shall return to reign in majesty over the new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness, when the song shall go up from every people, and kindred, and nation, and tongue: "Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne and unto the Lamb forever and ever." With the ascription of glory to God is conjoined in the angel hymn, "Peace on earth, good will toward men." The two are inseparable. The strifes and woes of earth have sprung from denying to its Maker the honor, love, obedience and loyalty that are His due. Alienation from God is the fruitful source of crimes, discords and miseries. When the world revolted and man apostatized, peace fled affrighted from the maddened race, and only in the train of Jesus Christ, as His handmaid and attendant, does she return. Earth sadly needs peace.
