DES DEPOTS DE CRISTAUX D'HYDROCARBURES, SE FORMENT DANS LES GAZOLES A BASSE TEMPERATURE. CEUX-CI SONT PRINCIPALEMENT CONSTITUES DE N-ALCANES QUI FORMENT ENTRE EUX DES SOLUTIONS SOLIDES. POUR PREVOIR CETTE CRISTALLISATION, IL EST NECESSAIRE DE CONNAITRE LES PROPRIETES THERMODYNAMIQUES DES MELANGES SOLIDES. LE BUT DE CE TRAVAIL EST L'ETUDE DU SYSTEME BINAIRE DE N-ALCANES PAIRS N-TETRACOSANE (N-C#2#4H#5#0): N-HEXACOSANE (N-C#2#6H#5#4), DONT LE DIAGRAMME EST INCOMPLET. APRES UNE DESCRIPTION DES METHODES EXPERIMENTALES UTILISEES, ET UNE REVUE BIBLIOGRAPHIQUE SUR LES N-ALCANES PURS ET EN MELANGES BINAIRES, LE DIAGRAMME DE PHASES N-TETRACOSANE: N-HEXACOSANE EST ETABLI EXPERIMENTALEMENT PAR ANALYSE THERMIQUE DIFFERENTIELLE, ENTHALPIMETRIQUE DIFFERENTIELLE ET RADIOCRISTALLOGRAPHIE. IL EST MIS EN EVIDENCE A 293 K ET EN FONCTION DE LA CONCENTRATION MOLAIRE EN N-HEXACOSANE, LA PRESENCE DE DEUX SOLUTIONS PRIMAIRES DE STRUCTURE TRICLINIQUE ET DE TROIS SOLUTIONS SOLIDES INTERMEDIAIRES DE STRUCTURE ORTHORHOMBIQUE. LE COMPORTEMENT DES MELANGES EN FONCTION DE LA TEMPERATURE FAIT APPARAITRE QUATRE OU CINQ SEQUENCES DE PHASES SELON LA SOLUTION SOLIDE CONSIDEREE. UNE SYSTEMATIQUE DE DIAGRAMMES BINAIRES DE N-ALCANES PAIRS DIFFERENTS DE DEUX CARBONES EST ETABLIE PAR ANALOGIE AVEC LE SYSTEME N-DOCOSANE (N-C#2#2H#4#6): N-TETRACOSANE (N-C#2#4H#5#0) ET LE SYSTEME N-EICOSANE (N-C#2#0H#4#2): N-DOCOSANE (N-C#2#2H#4#6). LE TRAITEMENT DES MESURES ENTHALPIMETRIQUES EST ENSUITE EFFECTUE. LES VARIATIONS D'ENTHALPIE EN FONCTION DE LA TEMPERATURE DES SOLUTIONS SOLIDES QUI APPARAISSENT A TEMPERATURE AMBIANTE SONT TRAITEES PAR UNE EXPRESSION DERIVEE DU SOLIDE D'EINSTEIN. LES ENTHALPIES ET LES ENTROPIES D'EXCES, DES DIFFERENTES PHASES SONT REPRESENTEES PAR UN MODELE DE MARGULES A DEUX TERMES. CELLES-CI JOINTES AUX TEMPERATURES ET AUX ENTHALPIES DE TRANSITION DES CORPS PURS PERMETTENT DE CALCULER LES COURBES LIMITES DE PHASES DES DIFFERENTS EQUILIBRES. Book Description

Book Description
The field of Supramolecular chemistry has reached a high level of sophistication and maturity, especially in the last 5-10 years. The sophistication is primarily evident in the highly complex chemical architectures that have been synthesized to accomplish specific functions such as selective binding and transport of substrates, in catalysis, and for the formation of assemblies, to name just a few of the applications. Many other molecular structures have been synthesized to form unusual materials with interesting and/or useful properties. From this point of view, the field is mature, as would have been anticipated from its historical development, starting in 1967 with Pedersen and the crown ethers. Since that time, the field has evolved mainly from a synthetic organic perspective. There are notable exceptions to this statement, but in general it holds true that the major advances were made in the laboratories of organic chemists with considerable topological insight. by The design and synthesis of the molecules was also partly guided physical insight provided by measurements and calculations done by physical chemists. As a consequence, many chemical systems were synthesized in relatively small amounts to afford their full characterization but not in large enough quantities to fully explore their intended properties or structures. Thus in the decades of the 70's and 80's physical chemists played an important role in guiding the future directions in the field, providing needed structural and energetic information and providing improved experimental designs.

Book Description
Advanced Chemistry of Monolayers at Interfaces describes the advanced chemistry of monolayers at interfaces. Focusing on the recent trends of methodology and technology, which are indispensable in monolayer science. They are applied to monolayers of surfactants, amphiphiles, polymers, dendrimers, enzymes, and proteins, which serve many uses. Introduces the methodologies of scanning probe microscopy, surface force instrumentation, surface spectroscopy, surface plasmon optics, reflectometry, and near-field scanning optical microscopy. Modern interface reaction method, lithographic technology and different types of monolayers like adsorption, Langmuir and Langmuir-Blodgett monolayers at air/liquid, liquid/liquid, liquid/solid and air/solid interfaces, are all covered. Introducing novel methodologies and technologies Covering the different types of monolayers Discusses all currently available instrumental techniques for studying all types of monolayer
