"La relación entre el derecho internacional de la inversión extranjera (DIIE) y el derecho internacional de los derechos humanos (DIDH) ha sido tradicionalmente conflictiva. Sin embargo, la evidencia reciente muestra una creciente incorporación de elementos de DIDH en el DIIE. En ese contexto, este artículo estudia potenciales conflictos entre la obligación de brindar un trato justo y equitativo al inversionista extranjero bajo DIIE, y el derecho humano a un medio ambiente sano bajo el artículo 11 del Protocolo de San Salvador.
