Book Description
We present preliminary results of maximum-likelihood Dalitz plot analyses performed by the BABAR Collaboration of the charmless hadronic decays B{sup 0} {yields} K{sup +}{pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup 0}, B{sup +} {yields} K{sup +}{pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup +}, and B{sup +} {yields} {pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup +}. We report inclusive decay rates, as well as fractions and phases for intermediate resonant decays. We also report CP-violating charge asymmetries for intermediate resonant decays of neutral B mesons.

Book Description
This book highlights two essential analyses of data collected during the LHCb experiment, based on the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. The first comprises the first observation and studies of matter-antimatter asymmetries in two three-body b-baryon decays, paving the way for more precise measurements of the relatively unknown decay properties of b-baryon decays. The second is an analysis of a charged B meson decay to three charged pions, where previously large matter-antimatter asymmetries were observed in a model-independent analysis. Here a model of the decay amplitude is constructed using the unitarity-conserving ‘K-matrix’ model for the scalar contributions, so as to gain an understanding of how the previously observed matter-antimatter asymmetries arise; further, the model’s construction yields the most precise and comprehensive study of this decay mode to date.

Book Description
The authors report a Dalitz-plot analysis of the charmless hadronic decays of neutral B mesons to K{sup ±}?{sup {-+}}?°. With a sample of (231.8 ± 2.6) x 106?(4S) → B{bar B} decays collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at SLAC, they measure the magnitudes and phases of the intermediate resonant and nonresonant amplitudes for B° and {bar B}° decays and determine the corresponding CP-averaged branching fractions and charge asymmetries. The inclusive branching fraction and CP-violating charge asymmetry are measured to be?(B° → K?−?°) = (35.7{sub -1.5}{sup +2.6} ± 2.2) x 10−6, and?{sub CP} = -0.030{sub -0.051}{sup +0.045} ± 0.055 where the first errors are statistical and the second systematic. They observe the decay B° → K*°(892)?° with the branching fraction?(B° → K*°(892)?°) = (3.6{sub -0.8}{sup +0.7} ± 0.4) x 10−6. This measurement differs from zero by 5.6 standard deviations (including the systematic uncertainties). The selected sample also contains B° → {bar D}°?° decays where {bar D}° → K+?−, and they measure?(B° → {bar D}°?°) = (2.93 ± 0.17 {+-} 0.18) x 10−4.

Book Description
We report a Dalitz-plot analysis of the charmless hadronic decays of charged B mesons to the state K{sup {+-}} {pi}{sup {-+}}{pi}{sup {+-}}. Using a sample of 226.0 {+-} 2.5 million B{bar B}pairs collected by the BABAR detector, measure the magnitudes and phases of the intermediate resonant and nonresonant amplitudes both charge conjugate decays. We present measurements of the corresponding branching and their charge asymmetries that supersede those of previous BABAR analyses. We find the asymmetries to be consistent with zero.

Book Description
The authors present a Dalitz-plot analysis of charmless B{sup ±} decays to the final state [pi]{sup ±}[pi]{sup ±}[pi]{sup {-+}} using a sample of (465 ± 5) x 106 B{bar B} pairs collected by the BABAR experiment at √s = 10.58 GeV. They measure the branching fractions [Beta](B{sup ±} → [pi]{sup ±}[pi]{sup ±}[pi]{sup {-+}}) = (15.2 ± 0.6 ± 1.2 ± 0.4) x 10−6, [Beta](B{sup {+-}} → [rho]°(770)[pi]{sup {+-}}) = (8.1 {+-} 0.7 {+-} 1.2{sub -1.1}{sup +0.4}) x 10−6, [Beta](B{sup {+-}} → f2(1270)[pi]{sup {+-}}) = (1.57 {+-} 0.42 {+-} 0.16{sub -0.19}{sup +0.53}) x 10−6, and [Beta](B{sup {+-}} → [pi]{sup {+-}}[pi]{sup {+-}}[pi]{sup {-+}} nonresonant) = (5.3 {+-} 0.7 {+-} 0.6{sub -0.5}{sup +1.1}) x 10−6, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and model-dependent, respectively. Measurements of branching fractions for the modes B{sup {+-}} → [rho]°(1450)[pi]{sup {+-}} and B{sup {+-}} → f0(1370)[pi]{sup {+-}} are also presented. They observe no significant direct CP asymmetries for the above modes, and there is no evidence for the decays B{sup {+-}} → f0(980)[pi]{sup {+-}}, B{sup {+-}} → [chi]{sub c0}[pi]{sup {+-}}, or B{sup {+-}} → [chi]{sub c2}[pi]{sup {+-}}.

Book Description
Results for the first measurement of the inclusive branching and CP asymmetry of the charmless 3-body decay B+ → K+[pi]0[pi]0 are presented. The analysis uses a data sample with an integrated luminosity of 429.0 fb-1, recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric B Factory. This sample corresponds to 470.9 ±} 2.8 million B$\bar{B}$ pairs. Measurements of the branching fractions (B) and CP asymmetries (ACP) of some of the intermediate resonances in the K+[pi]0[pi]0 Dalitz plot are also presented.
