This book explores the strategy of the European Union in the democratisation processes of Serbia and Croatia in the years 2000 - 2005. It argues that the EU intervention turned the democratization processes into Europeanisation processes, which featured the promotion of societal participation, the regional approach and the conditionality principle as their constitutive elements.
