Cette étude a pour objectif l'élaboration et la mise au point de méthodes d'étalonnage des caméras CCD matricielles industrielles équipées d'un objectif et en liaison avec un système d'acquisition et de traitement d'images. On considère la chaine d'acquisition d'images: objectif, camera, système d'acquisition, comme un ensemble à étalonner. L'étalonnage de cette chaine permet d'établir numériquement la correspondance entre l'espace objet (3D) et l'espace image numérisée (2D) et peut constituer la base d'un système de mesure sans contact. Dans cette étude on modélise la chaine d'acquisition d'images avec le modèle de camera du sténopé en tenant compte des distorsions radiales et tangentielles. Cette modélisation fait intervenir un minimum de paramètres extrinsèques et intrinsèques ayant des significations physiques. Une nouvelle méthode en utilisant le tenseur métrique est proposée qui permet d'identifier indépendamment les paramètres extrinsèques et intrinsèques de façon optimale. Plusieurs méthodes existantes sont aussi étudiées et des améliorations sont apportées à celles-ci. Les coordonnées image des points de référence sont déterminées avec un nouvel algorithme à une résolution sub-pixel. Un banc d'essai est élaboré au Laboratoire National d'Essais et des logiciels sont développés pour la mise en œuvre des méthodes d'étalonnage. Des comparaisons de résultats expérimentaux sont effectuées entre différentes méthodes d'étalonnage, différentes conditions expérimentales, différentes mires de référence, différents bancs et différentes cameras avec ou sans horloge pixel. Une application du système visuel étalonne à la mesure dimensionnelle sans contact est présentée. La précision théorique de mesure est analysée et comparée avec la précision réelle obtenue dans l'expérimentation.
