Book Description
The Ceratosauria is modified to include two super families with one new subfamily. Two new species of Ceratosaurus are described, the first based on an articulated skeleton from the Fruita Paleontological Area in western Colorado, and the second on skeletal elements of a single individual from the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry in east-central Utah. A number of additional specimens, identifiable only to genus, have been found in North America and are mentioned or briefly described. Specimens from East Africa and Switzerland are also considered to be identifiable only to genus. The peculiar genus Labrosaurus is placed in synonymy with Allosaurus.

Book Description
The meat-eating dinosaurs, or Theropoda, include some of the fiercest predators that ever lived. Some of the group's members survive to this day—as birds. The theropod/bird connection has been explored in several recent works, but this book presents 17 papers on a variety of other topics. It is organized into three parts. Part I explores morphological details that are important for understanding theropod systematics. Part II focuses on specific regions of theropod anatomy and biomechanics. Part III examines various lines of evidence that reveal something about theropods as living creatures. The contributors are Ronan Allain, Rinchen Barsbold, Kenneth Carpenter, Karen Cloward, Rodolfo A. Coria, Philip J. Currie, Peter M. Galton, Robert Gay, Donald M. Henderson, Dong Huang, James I. Kirkland, Yoshitsugu Kobayashi, Eva B. Koppelhus, Peter Larson, Junchang Lü, Lorrie A. McWhinney, Clifford Miles, Ralph E. Molnar, N. Murphy, John H. Ostrom, Gregory S. Paul, Licheng Qiu,J. Book Description
There are many reasons why the prehistoric world captures the imagination of children, but dinosaurs certainly play a major role. It only makes sense, therefore, to open the Prehistoric World series with an investigation of that world's best-known inhabitants: dinosaurs. Painting a vivid picture of life as we think it then existed, each book features a different type of dinosaur, focusing on a well-known member of a particular group but also discussing its relatives and other similar creatures. Coverage includes the animal's physical characteristics, the world in which it lived, how it lived, and the secrets of its daily survival.
