Book Description
THRIVING WITH CANCER Survival doesn't have to be a cancer patient's only goal, and feeling overwhelmed doesn't have to describe what it's like to go through treatment. Focusing on one's purpose and goals can make every day more manageable. In a book that tells the harrowing story of his own diagnosis and treatment alongside his wife's and his eldest son's battles with cancer, Ross Suozzi encourages readers to see that a "successful" treatment comes from actively plotting a positive approach to each and every day. Reflecting on his own trials and errors, he offers a step-by-step guide filled with helpful suggestions for cancer patients and those who love and care for them. Suozzi details his family's discovery that a semi-structured and thoughtful approach to daily living can do wonders when it comes to navigating the confusion, letdowns, and pains that arise during treatment. Conscientious planning can help to lower anxiety, boost overall well-being, and even make room for moments that are full of life's exuberance. This book tackles personal and family issues that aren't often raised by medical professionals and shines a light on what matters most: experiences that give life meaning and purpose. Cancer: It's Not a Death Sentence is about reaching for happiness and recovery in the face of sudden life-threatening situations like cancer, and reviews the caregiving, life, and health challenges of survivors and members of Ross Suozzi's family. Where other cancer memoirs often become singular focuses blending personal experience with recovery and medical insights, Suozzi's ability to cover both sides of the cancer coin creates an atmosphere that is as specific about emotional hurdles as it is about treatments, what works and what doesn't, and how to handle not just physical but psychological and social challenges surrounding cancer. This cancer survivor's ability to incorporate all these facets under one cover represents a unique approach to his subject that will educate and enlighten not just fellow sufferers, but caregivers, families, friends, and anyone whose lives have been touched by a cancer diagnosis. Book Description
My dear readers, a couple of years ago, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and fortunately for me the cancer had not metastasized. I haven’t died from this diagnosis because of the aggressive treatment that I have undergone, and if I had died, I would have died with my story which I want you to share with your loved ones, especially if there is a similar cancer experience in your family. When you are diagnosed with cancer and you know that your kids are yet to scratch the bottom of education and then life, your desire to fight to live intensifies, and this erases the thought of a death sentence as an option, even when you have no control over the medical process that awaits you. Thus, throughout my ordeal, my primary concern has been my boys; and I am delighted to report that God has blessed us abundantly. We have enjoyed all sorts of support from so many people, and we wish to express our sincere gratitude. May the Lord bless you bountifully too.

Book Description
You get hit with cancer, considered a terminal disease; and you are left wondering, Is this the end of the road for me? But then, you realize, as a believer, that the disease considered terminal by man is not necessarily terminal with God. This was my state of mind in 2016 when I was diagnosed with stage 2 prostate cancer. The confusion, fear, and anxiety that followed the diagnosis made it look to me like a death sentence. As a believer, I know that God can do all things, and He is always faithful in keeping His promises. But am I faithful enough to trust Him with my problems? If ever I was to answer this question, this diagnosis was the opportunity. So I resolved to see it as a test of my faith. For those who may say that cancer is now treatable, the following quotation from the America Cancer Society (ACS) will give you an idea of the true state of affairs: "In 2004, 21 out of 100 people diagnosed with lung cancer were living 3 years after their diagnosis. By 2018, that number had risen to 31 out of 100 people." This report was meant to show progress in the fight against lung cancer. Notice however that out of one hundred patients diagnosed, sixty-nine died after diagnosis; only thirty-one were found still living three years later. What is not reported is the quality of life of these thirty-one and what happened to them after three years. If the efficacy of any treatment is only 31 percent and it is efficient only for three years, it is as good as administering placebos. The doctors recommended surgery or radiation therapy for my problem, but I chose none because I had no faith in any of them; the Scripture says that believers shall live by their own faith. Instead, I sought the mind of God, and He chose a pathway for me. This book explains that pathway, and how it can be sought. It also reminds all especially the faithful in Christ that God makes a way even where there seems to be none.

Book Description
In 1995, Evelyn Pettie Reid learned she had cancer. Dissatisfied with her doctor's answers to her questions, she chose not to receive chemotherapy, a decision her doctor warned would cost her her life. Instead, Reid decided to take responsibility for her own healing, with God's help. Through educating herself about healthful living and constantly strengthening her faith in the Lord, Reid reached a state of wholeness that she enjoys to this day. In Cancer: A Sentence to Live, Reid shares her personal journey, complete with the information she discovered through research, detailed lists of dietary supplements, and even some of her morning devotionals. Her advice ranges from the importance of praying with members of one's faith community to the importance of really tuning in and listening to one's body. Taking a holistic approach, she encourages readers to take care of not only their physical selves but also their souls, so that any obstacles to healing might be removed. A cancer diagnosis can be frightening, confusing, and depressing, and it can be tempting to give in to passivity and even despair. Reid shows readers another way. By sharing her experience and the fruits of her research, she aims to empower others so that they too might put their trust in God, educate themselves, and find the will to fight for life. A cancer diagnosis need not be a death sentence, Reid says; rather, it is a wakeup call to get busy and get healthy!

Book Description
Hearing the words 'you have cancer' is enough to make even the strongest person question their faith as well as the ability of future living. I know my story is not typical because there have been many that have lost their battle along the way. I wrote this book as a testimony and to let those that have gotten the diagnosis know, there is a chance you can have life beyond cancer. It may not be an easy road but it is so worth the journey. God bless you and know I am in the fight with you, praying and pushing for your recovery.
