This publication begins with a vision, purpose & goal, and principles of an aerospace strategy for British Columbia. It then reviews the current situation of the province's aerospace industry, including revenues, employment, labour market supply & demand; the aerospace-related programs offered in the public post-secondary education system; and current proposals to expand program offerings in the area of aerospace maintenance & manufacturing, in response to labour market demands and projected skills shortages in the British Columbia aerospace sector. Finally, the implementation of the aerospace strategy is outlined, focussing on establishment of an Aerospace Consortium that will advise the government on aerospace training issues.
