Dans une société de consommation en constante évolution, les exigence des patients devenus consommateurs de soins ont conduit le législateur à faire des modifications majeurs en matière de droit de la responsabilité médicale. A l’heure de la vulgarisation de l’information médicale de la haute technicité, du culte de l’image, le patient, devenu véritable consommateur de sois, n’accepte plus l’échec d’un acte qu’il considère, souvent à tort, comme anodin avec un risque nul ; d’où la difficulté d’accepter l’aléa et la demande d’indemnisation. De ce fait, tout praticien verra se responsabilité mise en cause au moins une fois au cours de son exercice.
