Book Description
Americans love road trips. They love to go on road trips. They love to read about road trips. They love to watch road trip stories unfold on television and film. Road trip stories are a consistent feature of the American landscape, a central part of American mythology, and an important piece of the American dream. In The American Road Trip and American Political Thought, Susan McWilliams argues that the American fascination with road trip stories is about more than mere escapism or wanderlust. She shows, in walking through stories like On the Road and The Grapes of Wrath, that American road trip stories are a key expression of American political thought. They are not just stories of personal journeys. They are stories of the American nation. McWilliams Barndt shows how Americans have long used road trip stories to raise and explore central questions about American politics in theory and practice. They talk about freedom and equality and diversity and take those vaunted American ideals for a test drive. American road trip stories are where the rubber meets the road in American political thought. The American Road Trip and American Political Thought includes explorations of a wide variety of American authors, from Walt Whitman and Henry David Thoreau to Erika Lopez and Cheryl Strayed, from Mark Twain and John Steinbeck to Solomon Northup and Hunter S. Thompson. It covers topics including gender, labor, place, race, and technology in American political life. This is a book that will change the way you think about the great American road trip and the great American story.

Book Description
When we look around us, we find so much suffering in the world that we can't help but ask "why"? Long time ago God in Hosea 4:6 lamented that his people were being destroyed for the lack of knowledge. His people are still being destroyed today. The question again is "Why"? As Christians, Jesus has given us the authority over all the powers of the thief, murderer, destroyer, and our real enemy Satan also known as the devil. Somehow, we seem to have forgotten our spiritual heritage, our spiritual rights and responsibilities, and therefore the devil has taken undue advantage of our ignorance. This prayer book along with the companion end-time spiritual warfare book, "Target or Weapon-Sound The Alarm" provide instructions on how to stand on the Word of God, to help you vanquish the controlling spirits in your life. Let these prayers be part of your daily spiritual exercise. Standing on the Word of God causes a shaking in the spiritual realm on your behalf, because God backs His Word and watches to perform it.

Book Description
I try to tell people be real with yourself with real problems in a real world itself. It's real but don't let your guard down, not for one bit and that road that you are traveling on is just around the corner just a few steps through your soul. A close encounter comes, you have a burning passion inside of you, and you do not know what to do. Sometimes we can go too fast on our own road. Slow down try to catch up with God and He has been there with you the whole time by your side so get up, don't quit. I am 38 years old with just a high school diploma in 1991. A born again Christian, single guy and blessed to have my mom and dad still living and the family is growing. I have accomplished a lot of stuff but not enough in life. By comparing to this book I think it was time for the world to know my small talent. I can express myself when God comes in more than I can speak it so it has grown very fast over the years. It was a small blank page journal started out to be and the rest is history.
