Book Description
In revising the text opportunity has been taken to introduce SI units throughout. An Appendix has been included which contains tables of SI units and a table of conversion factors for use when consulting data in non-SI units. Chapter 19 now includes experiments demon strating the use of ion-exchange and solid-liquid chromatography_ Exercises involving colorimetry have been included in Chapter 17. These techniques are introduced as part of a complementary exercise where their relevance is seen as part of a complete piece of work. Minor improvements have been made to some of the experimental procedures and we are grateful to those who have made helpful suggestions in this respect. G. PASS H. SUTCLIFFE iii Preface to the First Edition The student of inorganic chemistry is fortunate in having a wide choice of textbooks covering the descriptive and theoretical aspects of the sUbject. There is no comparable choice of textbooks covering practical inorganic chemistry. Moreover, there is a tendency for many students to draw an unfortunate distinction between chemistry taught in the lecture room, and laboratory work. Consideration of these points prompted the preparation of this book, in which we have attempted to emphasize the relationship between theory and practice.

Book Description
Although a number of books are available on a subject like "Practical on Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry", this book has been written with an intentionto provide the information in an easy and digestable manner to the beginners in this feild. The book focuses all such fundamental concepts of inorganic chemistry that apply to medicional and/or Pharmaceutical chemistry, so that students understand the basic practical concepts of Inorganic Pharmacetical Chemistry. In the First Chapter- Limit tests of Chloride, Sulfate, Modified Limit test for these two, Limit test for Iron, Arsenic, Lead, as well as, Heavy metals are described prefrentially, with underlying principles and chemical reactions as well as, reagents involved in them digram are provided in eachcase. In Second Chapter - The systemic analysis of inorganic mixture containing cations and anions is described and explained in a simplified manner so that they gain in confidence with a systemic approach to analyise a few specimen inorganic mixtures for the qualitative identification and confermation of the anion and cations contained in them is very well explained. Explanations and reaction equations involved in each test are provided. In Third Chapter - deals with " Test for Purity" for; acid neutralizing capacity of Aluminium Hydroxide Gel, Bentonite and Potasium Iodate and Iodine in Potassium Iodate. The underline principle, reaction equations involved, relationships/factors based on these equations to calculate the final amounts are nicely explained with detailed experimental procedures, as well as, preparations of all reagents required in each of the experiment. The Fourth Chapter- Is about preparation of Inorganic Pharmaceuticals namely, Boric acid, Ferrous Sulphate and Potassium Alum, along with reaction equtions and principle involved in each of the three substance is also provided. At the end of the Chapters we also include viva voice quetions for students for practical exams viva purpose.

Book Description
Practical Approaches to Biological Inorganic Chemistry, Second Edition, reviews the use of spectroscopic and related analytical techniques to investigate the complex structures and mechanisms of biological inorganic systems that contain metals. Each chapter presents an overview of the technique, including relevant theory, a clear explanation of what it is, how it works, and how the technique is actually used to evaluate biological structures. New chapters cover Raman Spectroscopy and Molecular Magnetochemistry, but all chapters have been updated to reflect the latest developments in discussed techniques. Practical examples, problems and many color figures are also included to illustrate key concepts. The book is designed for researchers and students who want to learn both the basics and more advanced aspects of key methods in biological inorganic chemistry. Presents new chapters on Raman Spectroscopy and Molecular Magnetochemistry, as well as updated figures and content throughout Includes color images throughout to enable easier visualization of molecular mechanisms and structures Provides worked examples and problems to help illustrate and test the reader’s understanding of each technique Written by leading experts who use and teach the most important techniques used today to analyze complex biological structures

Book Description
While the boundaries between the areas of chemistry traditionally labeled as inorganic, organic and physical are gradually diffusing, the practical techniques adopted by workers in each of these areas are often radically different. The breadth and variety of research classed as "inorganic chemistry" is readily apparent from an inspection of some of the leading international journals, and can be quite daunting for newcomers to this domain who are likely to have only limited experience of the methodologies involved. This book has therefore been written to provide guidance for those unfamiliar with the techniques most often encountered in synthetic inorganic / metalorganic chemistry, with an emphasis on procedures for handling air-sensitive compounds. One chapter is devoted to more specialized techniques such as metal vapor synthesis, and a review of preparative methods for a selection of starting materials is included as an aid to those planning research projects. While this book is aimed primarily at postgraduate and advanced undergraduate students involved in inorganic research projects, synthetic organic chemists and industrial chemists will also find much useful information within its pages. Similarly, it serves as a useful reference source for materials and polymer scientists who wish to take advantage of recent progress in precursor synthesis and catalyst development.

"ABOUT THE BOOK: This book, ""A Practical Book of Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry,"" was written by six different authors in accordance with the B.Pharm first-semester PCI curriculum. The primary purpose of this book is to provide readily accessible methods and procedures for conducting pharmaceutical inorganic chemistry practicals in the first semester of B. Pharm, with a focus on facilitating subject comprehension. It contains 18 experiments based strictly on the PCI curriculum, as well as various laboratory safety measures as the first section of the book. It also contains experimental procedures and the fundamentals of various limit tests, such as the Limit test for Chlorides, the Limit test for Sulphates, the Limit test for Iron, the Limit test for Heavy metals, the Limit test for Lead, and the Limit test for Arsenic. Other experiments include tests for the identification of various inorganic compounds listed in the curriculum, tests for purity, and the preparation of inorganic pharmaceuticals. "
